Them in track/running of course. So many in others in other events, including my new favorite Austrian in the women's road cycling. Definitely a huge "MF" performance.
Remember Kara grew up in Duluth about a mile from Superior, WI which is one of the most bar infested towns in WI
ZERO grown up men cried today over Molly. It is not that a grown up man cannot cry, but certainly not over that.

A bar is a blessing, not an infestation.
I didn't cry but was very happy for her. There is something so likable and genuine about her. It felt like I was cheering on someone I've known my whole life.
I wish Rupp was as likable as her. I want him to medal because he is an American but I won't feel nearly as happy for him as I do her.
I think she is the best story of these Olympics and she didn't crap the bed like the other two women that started today. It should have been Hall and Dez starting with her, maybe we would have had three Americans at least finish.

She literally called it when the other announcer commented about Molly falling back and Kara replying that it was so hot, and war of attrition, all she had to do was keep her composure and she wouldn’t be surprised if somebody if front of her dropped out. NBC went to a commercial, came back and Molly had literally gone from 4th to 3rd due to drop out.

You should get a VPN blocker, and watch it on BBC tomorrow. No commercials and very knowledgeable. Not like the corny US commentators. The two British commentators were raving about Seidel the whole race.
By the way, I cried too. Seeing her scream with joy was THE point of the Olympics so far. And that's even after fapping to Karsten Warholm ripping his jersey open.
Powerful, gutsy, disciplined performance from her today. The color of the medal was not the point - if you think it was, then you're not understanding what she overcame to get to Tokyo, and what she proved to herself (and the rest of the world) in those brutal conditions today. Raw emotion at the finish- pretty moving stuff.

Tears welled up a little, but mostly was watching in disbelief. I cried more in 2004 when Deena got bronze (and was crying as she approached the finish).

Two things:
1) I've met quite a number of Wisconsin families over the course of my life. The Seidel's are one of the most exemplary families of not just high achieving people but also really GREAT people. Theyre giving, not conceited. They like people.l and are kind hearted. Their unit of love is something we should all strive for in our own families.
2) To the person talking about Superior bars ick. I was so hungry one time I stopped in Superior to eat on the way back from Northern Minnesota. Little did I know I was walking into a topless bar as no one was behind the bar or in the main area. As time went along I kept having topless women (40+ and drugged out) come up and talk to me when my food came as I was the only one in the bar. It isnt at all what it sounds like. It was disgusting and I wasnt interested. I was just trying to eat. Had I known it was a topless bar I wouldve picked somewhere else. Moral of the story: a Superior Bar != a normal City Bar. These are sad and destitute types of bar. Infestations is the proper description.
