A linebacker who's run a 4.38? There probably isn't even one NFL linebacker who's run a 4.38, that's a monster time even for an NFL running back.
Yes, there are a ton of fast guys in the NFL, but they are not as fast as what many posters in here seem to think.
I'd guess that she could beat all but 150 NFL players.
Griffin ran 4.38 at the 2018 combine, and Simmons ran 4.39 at last year's. They are both linebackers. There are quite a few others who would be good for 4.4x. Jon Ryan (punter, now in the CFL but 10+ years in the NFL) has run a 4.45. There are freakishly fast guys at all positions, I don't know what percentage of total players could run 10.6 but I'm pretty sure it's more than 5%. We've seen enough NFL players actually compete on the track in the 10-10.2 range to know there's a healthy amount of speed talent.
You're making my point for me.
Ok, so there was exactly "one", technically you got me there, although not exactly an overwhelming victory.
5% of the NFL is 85 players. I was conservative by saying 150, you actually came up with a lower figure of 85 based upon 5%. There's 32 teams in the NFL, I'd be willing to put money that on average you could not find four players from each team that could beat her, and it would probably end up being closer to three.
In the "olden" days when we ran the 100 yard dash here, a man who ran 9.6 was considered to have blazing speed, which is roughly what she ran if you convert it. I don't think NFL teams average 4 guys who can do that.
