Are Sprout and salted going down to Sea level? The town in Utah is at 4500 ft and the one in CO is 5900. They’re not breaking 4 without altitude adjustment or going down to sea level. Sprout Hs the best chance of any of them by the way.
You don't need a sub 4 guy to pace the mile.
The pacer drops out between 800 and 1000m.
Any 2:00 800m guy could probably do it.
The pacer is more important than most people realize.
Several years ago at the dream mile the pacer ran splits of :56 - 1:04.
He hit 800m in 2 flat, but he blew up the field on the first lap.
Also most runners are too far behind the pacer to take advantage of
the drafting effect. You want to be within a meter of the pacer and often
the runner is 2 meters back which means the draft advantage is a lot less
and he has to work harder than he should have to.
Hopefully they pull this off with proper preparation.

He ran 4:09 as a soph so I wouldn't worry too much. I am curious about his age and college eligibility. He tested out of high school and started college. He then went back to high school. Is his eligibility clock already ticking?

As "coach of fast" mentions, he ran 4:09 mile as a Soph, but has unfortuntaely dealt with a string of ilnesses, surgeries, and injuries since his Junior XC season (where he was 5th at NXN, in front of Nico Young). It's funny how quickly people are forgotten here on LetsRun, but we have every reason to believe a healthy Easton is talented enough to run a mile as fast as anyone in his graduating class.

CO has some great runners right now. Easton isn't one of them (besides being "from" Utah now). Culppeper and Ohlson are definitely faster and Sprout has never lost to Allred in actual distance events let alone mid distance where speed actually matters, a lot.
Some other considerations in regards to your very optimistic assessment of Allred's potential in this race:
-Easton ran 4:09 as a 17 y.o. "soph" (He had already "graduated") and hasn't run faster since, running a 4:18 1600 just a month ago.
-Easton has run as fast as 15:11 for 5k xc this past season but ran 14:41 the year before. 30 second off one year later.
-Easton has never won a 1600 or mile race
-Easton has hardly raced track (or xc) since, and has yet to run close to his "soph" pr
-Easton maybe shouldn't even be included here as he may already be 19, should be in college already, both age wise and especially since he "finished" HS years ago.
-Easton's "1:55 in a relay" isn't anywhere near the widely accepted low 1:50s necessary for sub 4 regardless of fitness. (Tinman had Hunter running 1:48 before his sub4s for reference)
Easton is a very talented distance runner, but I would be shocked if he comes anywhere near 4.
Two mile and up would be a better distance for him to display his skill set. ...And maybe he should be racing for that PR in college now.
