Everyone in this thread is responsible for what has been happening recently. You all need to get off the internet and do something with your lives. Go for a run, to the gym, work on home projects, volunteer in your community, do something other than spread hate on the internet.
In my free time (outside of family/gf obligations), when I'm not training or browsing letsrun, I volunteer with a nonprofit that helps people with developmental disabilities. You guys should do something like that instead of being keyboard warriors or attending political (cult) rallies. Weirdos.

I noticed something regarding the impending shutdown while watching MSNBC this morning. A contributor pointed out that the party that causes the shutdown (in this case, the Democrats, refusing to yield on healthcare while painting Trump as heartless) almost always loses. This was followed by a party operative talking about proper "messaging," as if going into hostile territory and talking about Healthcare will make the shutdown a victory.
If the party wants to see proper messaging, they would do well to read the President's words above. He has an answer for why he wants to reform Medicaid. Then he pivots and talks about three issues (transgender women in women's sports, the border, violent crime) that resonate well with his base and aren't even being addressed by the opposition.
