It used to be just occasional randos like a-Dolt and the right wing pundits but now every MAGA is saying this. “You killed Charlie Kirk”. Everyone that is repulsed by Trump incredibly “pulled the trigger”.
This despite the DOJ finding no connection between this shooter and any left wing groups.
Keyboard warriors like Sally are just sheep copying what they see. But smarter people know these words are activating millions to fight back in a civil war with these inflammatory accusations. They know if they can create a martyr that was not murdered by one deranged person but was killed by everyone that doesn’t like Trump, this is a huge opportunity to accelerate their authoritarian goals.
The hope of the Trump admin was to get someone to harm an ICE Agent or National Guard soldier so the could blame "the leftists". That failed, but this has been very effective at angering maga, inserting dehumanizing language against all who criticize Trump and getting them to fervently repeat it. Now they believe they can call every democrat a murderer and call for mass censorship by the power of the federal government. As usual, facts need not be aligned with this narrative.
