As usual, you neither understand, nor actually believe in the "rule". This FCC rule applies to over the air broadcasting only. FOX News falls under this, but only presents one viewpoint and openly lies about that by their own admission. Yet they are not being pressured to fix this by the FCC. They have also successfully argued in court that their talk shows are not news and therefore no intelligent viewers could take them as factual (Carlson/Fox lawsuit 2020).

Newsmax, OAN, Faceboox, X, Twooth Social are NOT subject to FCC rules (digital only services) and are are all pushing a strongly "conservative" slant.

The usual broadcast players (ABC, NBC, CBS) do abide by the fairness doctrine for their news programs and present fact checked information. If rare mistakes are made, they issue corrections.

Trump and therefore his cult disciples believe that SNL, late night entertainment talk shows etc are part of the fairness doctrine while believing that Hannity, etc are not. Maga also believes that spreading false information is ok because they claim democrats did it first.

To believe in fairness and honesty, one must hold all to the same standard and demand from those they agree and disagree with. Maga wants neither fairness nor honesty. Look at "ImYankin" posts. He regularly calls for oppression of those who disagree, demands networks flatter Trump and not question him with factual information. Of course this is just parroting Trump's own words.

The Oath Keepers and Proud Boys are (were when the law mattered) designated domestic terrorist groups and their leaders coordinated an attack on the US government. For this, some were convicted of Seditious Conspiracy. Trump pardoned them because domestic terrorism is fine with him as long as it benefits him and he created a loyal thug squad. Trumps primary objective as President is to undermine any law or agency that could hold him accountable for his own criminal activity.

Bondi, Patel admitted the investigation was real. He is evidently on video accepting the bribes. The report said they wanted to see what he was going to do next. Then it was squashed when Trump was elected.

Contrary to right wing spin, Biden’s DOJ under Garland had demonstrated numerous times that he was an institutionalist that was scared of his own shadow and scared even more so of being accused of being political.
