YouTuber Griff Duncan sets out to smash sub 3 hours in only a few weeks of training. Gets an injury so he skips CIM only to get injured again before Eugene marathon and bonks hard at 17 miles. Gotta love the ones who try to rewrite the basic rules of marathon training because it’s “boring”
Flew home from my runners weekend away in Kenya, and straight into another runners weekend away in Boston.
Gosh running is expensive isnt it!
At least he disclosed that he got paid.
This is hardly a transparent disclosure though.
"disclosures: I was paid to appear in some of the places I went in this video and to include some of those public appearances in this video. No one previewed this video before it published."
Mad how even influencers who didn’t run are trying to get in on some clout from London. There’s a lad called “jayruns” decent runner, realized he couldn’t make it in that sport so took up triathlon and can run his way up an age group field. - plan is to go pro this year, seems to have bought a following as his interactions don’t make sense for the follower numbers and is DESPERATE to make it in social media runfluencing so would make sense. Anyways- video up about how much hate the influencers who missed PBs are getting, was asked who refused to answer as said it was 5/6 of them.. I had a look at the main players- no one has any instagram comment negativity. Man is making stuff up to try to do a f the haters video in hopes to get the influencers to repost it… social media is so bizarre.
yeah he's close to 15 years older than Meg (his wife and BITR co-worker). Robbe is somewhere in between them (in terms of age lol).
According to Athlinks Thomas is 54. His best recent result is a 1:42 high at the Annapolis half marathon. Meaghan is 37. Her best recent result is an impressive 62:30 on the hill Baltimore 10 miler course. Robbe is 42 and his best recent result is a 3:26 at the Berlin Marathon.
They told the story of Thomas and Meaghan meeting. Apparently they were coworkers at an advertising agency called Social Toaster.
Yeah but he conveniently left out the part about he was already married (to someone his own age) with two kids at that point

Why don’t more people talk about how Floberg said he was going to run an OTQ in the next couple years. This was 2 marathon cycles ago for him now. He should never live that down.
No, but I watched his latest video so you don't have to. He gets interviewed by On as part of a panel, he supports the BITR shakeout run, then launches his own shakeout run with Rabbit. Then he jogs the course, gets into the elite hotel and documents the elites being cheered by the hotel staff before they board the bus. Then he takes endless selfies with his buddies at the end of the race. Then he says "The Boston Marathon is not perfect, it can bring out the worst in runners, especially on social media." Pot, meet kettle!
Shoutout to el burrito monster, the guy makes and eats the type of food that could probably satiate the top 20 finishers in one sitting, goes out there on a warm day, smashes a 2:52 and is straight back to eating anything burrito shaped. Houlihan wishes she had patented the name before this legend came along!

Think he only documents bit of his running to get free s**t. Looks like it worked as Puma got him out to Boston. He's got a huge following. Must make bank!
He now places the odd sweaty marathon short, sandwiched between food content. Actually made my stomach turn. Follows this trend, like Phily, of using b-roll of himself getting dressed - why do they do this?
