I bet the US won't even give Venezuela free elections. This was never an attack to get democracy. This was a terrorist attack just like September 11. Yhe means are different, but the definition is the same
I see my posts with the documentation as to Israel's influence with the US invasion of Venezuela are being deleted. Some mods and posters sure fear anything that runs counter to the official narrative

Threads like these illustrate why America thinks it has the right to depose the leadership of any other country if it feels like it, even when the US has itself not been attacked.
the problems with "but he is a bad guy" are (a) trump has not introduced some new overarching foreign policy theory of the world into which this fits (eg, "cold war against all commie countries," (b) trump loves him some even worse bad guys eg putin and orban, (c) they never settled on any one reason this happened, (d) a sealed indictment is the opposite of open congressional debate and approval (e) the original indictment would be past limitations, (f) most of the new indictment still is, and (g) fact the original indictment is so stale makes it a questionable present day basis for war or regime change.

It sounds like if you are an American, you may have some soul searching to do tonight

if doesn't fit into some war or legal theory or overarching foreign policy approach, these sorts of things would be kidnapping or murder. you don't just get to go around deposing or killing other countries' leaders or taking over their country. even when they are horrible people.
because it would unleash a horrible free for all where anyone feels free to invade their neighbors, take out their leaders, send in the special forces.
you're the same folks who flip out over people taking potshots at trump or shooting charlie kirk.
you're the same folks who decided heads of state are immune from criminal charges related to doing their job.
Im really struggling to find justification for this. Venezuelan regime bad, yes. Sanctions and embargoes ok. Seizing tankers a bit iffy but if sanctions being ignored then......
But open acts of war = bad.
Wtf. Palestine is an open threat to israel. Venezuela is not a threat to us.
Yet another country's oil being stolen by the modern pirate country
Sanctions are not to be enforced simply because you don't like the regime. The rest of world doesn't like the US regime either.
Bombing ships, whether dubiously carrying drugs or not, is murder. If it was about drugs you would start with Mexico right next door.
Seizing tankers of oil is theft
Invasion of a country to abduct a leader to steal oil is unlawful
Yet the western world, except South Africa , is quiet, all queing up to bend at Treump's knee so he can buy their 30 pieces of silver.
Putin and Xi will get more aggressive. Xi in particular laughing at the amount of force required to abduct a President of a poor country. He is rapidly getting you covered.
Now he wants Greenland. Why not, no one is stopping him.

Will South Africa be at the World XC Championship in Florida? If so, then they are pretty quiet too.
