Got a lotta downvotes wow. Just saying that I watch a lot of T&F and listen to every LRC podcast and have never heard of her.
Then your ignorance is showing. I remember her and Willis/Whittaker having a great race for medals at World U20. How come you know who they are? She has made the jump that they havent yet - guess she should have gone to the NCAA.
The problem here is that Fisher got bumped outside by Mehary coming off the turn as Mehary was trying to move up. Not sure how much actual contact there was, but that was why Fisher ran wide rather than keeping his line to block Gressier. It didn't work for Mehary but created the gap for Gressier to move up on Fisher's inside.
And that was the second time Mehary pushed out on Fisher. I was hoping George Mills would come to the rescue with a well-executed trip from behind, but alas, he decided to just run this time.
The Olympics, Commonwealth Games, Pan-Am Games, WC, etc have ALWAYS limited the number of entries per country.
Most competitions do not.
This is the same in track as in other sports, in spite of your weird comparison of the US Open to the World Championships lol.
Nobody is confused. We all know the rules. Many of us think the rules are dumb. I am OK with limiting the entries to 3, but if you are having 2 byes available I'd make them available outside of the country limits. It's that simple.
You understand that there are not unlimited entries per country in the Olympics and WC. 👏✅
But you assert that track is unique in this regard. ❌😵
Maybe timings need a rethink. Do any of your guys automatically qualify from winning a previous championship? For example with us - Josh Kerr is automatically going so can delay his peak. You see Laura Muir doing the bare minimum to get second to get a place (she’s only just coming in to form).
USA’s is consistently one of the most exciting meets in the world, because it is essentially all or nothing. The stakes are very high so all the races are exciting. I don’t want to ruin that so Josh Hoey can win the Diamond League.
No I get that. I’m just thinking peaking for September.. I do agree the USA trials are far more exciting and the stakes are higher than here in the UK. Just quite a few of your athletes look a bit spent.
