USA SWEEP BABY!!!!
Hagos went first and they all steamed by him. Great close

Honestly this is probably what every single one of these guys was hoping for.
A little tempo with a fast last lap for some workout purposes without overstretching it.
Yep. Because many of them have behind the scenes said that they are quote “training through” this. Which is an absolute catastrophe if you are Johnson promoting this as the pinnacle of the sport, racing, rivalries.
And yet surely someone in the ranks there (Kyle Merber?) could have pointed this out as a potential issue they could have problem solved around to avoid this. And also, it’s only going to get worse as we go along in this “series”. Yikes.
That was a great finish.
God Hago's tactics are awful.
Did the same thing at the Olympics. Totall ymistimed it.
Hagos went 25.38 for the first 200 of the last lap (and then probably like a 28).
Not gonna lie, was rooting for Dylan Jacobs to take the win there, was a jogfest but if he could take the win in 14:39 that would've been a result I didn't expect lol. Nice execution from Grant and great 2nd place from Teare as well

Jacobs in 3rd is a strangely solid result for a guy with like no flat speed
I figured he should have been the one pushing the pace earlier, guess not.
Say what you want, but the Men’s 3k is now wildly entertaining for me.
I can’t believe Fisher took that after being terribly boxed in at 400. I’m actually less surprised by Jacobs and Teare finishing that well, reminiscent of Cooper’s win over Nuguse a few years back
No way you run pro sprint races in Philly in early April. Today is unseasonably warm, but you are just as likely to get a 48 degree day. Franklin Field is a mecca, but it's too early.

52 sec last lap?
51.xx maybe
Really really hadn’t foreseen an American sweep with how strong the field was
Maybe they learned that they can't beat the Americans in a sit and kick race.
That might be the most boring 5000m I've ever watched.
Am I the only one who doesn’t care at all it was slow? Everybody in this thread saying “we need pacers”… Dawg, we get pacers and we see the classic Gebriwhet, Fisher, Bekele finish we see every month on the Diamond League.
this was actually exciting. I’m here for it
Fun finish but winning with 14:39 at this level is inexcusable.
My hot take from this:
Cooper Teare would be a legitimate threat in the 3000m steeplechase at the global level. If Rooks can medal, Cooper needs run the steeple this year!
The last lap was exciting, but 14:40? The announcers defending the pacing are like Trump's spokespeople defending the tariffs. I mean, this is what we wanted, right? Right?
Compare this to the women’s long distance race, and you see my prior point. Storylines and personalities will propel the sport.
