Kerr's 3:44 road mile with a 1:46 last half was also better than anything Ingebrigtsen ran over the distance last year.
How convenient that you keep "forgetting" that that road mile is on a net downhill course, that they had a tailwind, that road supershoes are faster than spikes.
That's always the bs when anyone runs a better race than Ingebrigtsen. He would have had his doors blown off by Kerr. He usually does now.
Cute. 1. Maybe my narrowing the interview in to “The Times” and Rojo’s post with a link to the correct article helped the poster (who has a Times account) to help you with the quotes. Or maybe you would have gotten them anyway; who knows… Saying that, it’s a little strange you didn’t knew this about Jakob and “better the longer distance” (I thought you understood Norwegian) -Jakob, his brothers, and Gjert have for a long time now stressed the “long distance view”, f.x in Norwegian interviews. But also in English.
2. “Off topic”? -Depends on the eye. F.x -how high percentage of your posts in this current thread titled Kerr is about him, and not primarily about Jakob and Armstronglivs..? Not that I care; I think quality is key…
You dont even need an account. He just didnt want to read an article. Probably to much time on tiktok and cant stand to read a 5 minute article.

The key indicator is who wins when they meet. It is Kerr now.
Like when Kerr finished several seconds behind Jakob last time they met?
One race. And not the Olympic final, which was the race that mattered. You left out the 3 in a row before that that he has lost to Kerr. Kerr also ran the last half of the 5th Ave mile faster than Ingebrigtsen can run 800. He would have been forced to a walk again.

3:26.73 is clearly stronger than 3:44 - even when run on a track. But the 3:44 was run downhill.

Kerr's best races are clearly inferior to Ingebrigtsen's best races.

You call facts "bs". That explains why your opinions are bs as well.

Kerr is right when he says he needs more titles and needs to run faster. My opinion is he should show up to Euros. He will also need to do some TT races during the season because that is how you run faster times. Road times dont really count because lets be honest that 5th ave Mile is really fast and cant be compared to a track performance of the same time.
I think the best miler of the last 5 years is Jakob. He has 1 Oly title(Oly>WC) and has 3:26+3:43. He also has several Euro titles. However Kerr can certainly surpass him if he throws down at Euros and WC and gets 3:27 low I would say he would be better than Jakob.

I agree. Euros can be very competitive with several man at 3:30 and under.

Agree with this 😊 He either needs more hardware or better times, preferrably both.
Kerr is now better than Ingebrigtsen and has been so for the last 2 years. 3 wins out of 4 races shows that.
So you think Kerr is the best 1500m runner thi era despite him not winning gold at the olympics, and not having the fastest times?
Did you see this post Armstrong? Kerr doesn’t see himself as the best 1500m runner this era, but you do? Dont you think he need olympic gold or better times? If not him, who do you think it is? Hocker?
In the the last 2 years he has been beaten consistently by Kerr. He can't win a global title in his main event and hasn't done so since 2021. You're still living in the last.

There are currently several guys vying for the top spot. If Kerr gets more hardware and maybe faster times he undoubtedly gets it. Same with Hocker. But Ingebrigtsen has had too many championship losses over the last couple of years to have the top spot. Another championship loss and he's finished over the distance.

Interesting! How can that be, how many championship losses does Hocker have? By my count he didnt win one olympics and two world championships? Thats on par with Jakob, except he didnt medal in the world championships either. How come is he still a candidate? Better PR?
What about Kerr? Two olympics without a win and one wc?
Are Hocker and Kerr also finished over the distance with another loss?
