Just so you know, hdrunner has the FAA 107 License to fly drone so they are looking (haven't decided yet) at flying the drone with me riding the bikecam so they can livestream from drone as well as to bikecam to static cameras. I have two drones (no 107 license yet) but I can't do the bikecam and fly the drone (even with the follow me feature on the drone) under FAA rules.

I believe that hdrunner could have flown the drone at a stand off distance outside the Woodbridge course with their pilot. Unfortunately he had a family commitment so no drone. That drone would have provided a better image than the cameras from runnerspace.

That was an FPV drone, no remote tracker on the runner. In any case, FAA rules are very strict on flying over runners; the drone would need an emergency parachute, a waiver would be required (cost around $5K) for flying above runners. The alternative is to fly side by side at a stand off distance away from people (like Clovis or OC Champ).

I usually love PoMan's stuff...Seriously, he's awesome... but these still cam views don't stand alone well. Very boring with no play by play, and the techno music has to go. You commented to “agreed”, who was commenting on PoMan’s older video (in which the camera was moving out in front of the runner), so I don’t know what you mean by “still cam views”, unless you are referring to his latest Woodbridge video, in which case, obviously, still cam placement, due to him not allowed access on the course, is not going to be near as interesting of a production (unless he had 10’s or 100’s) of still camera placements.

Other regions must be so jealous that we have POMAN and HDRUNNERS with all hd tv camera shots.

I think it was more doing the best they could with what they were allowed. If they were allowed a moving camera, like his bike, I'm sure he would have used it.
I do agree on the music though. I like it for certain highlight shots but not the whole video. I feel like he thought it was necessary to do all highlight shots given how little footage he was allowed or able to capture on the course. It's kind of hard to use the race audio when he only had like 200m of the course on video and then 10 minutes of the last 400m of the race.
They partnered at Cool Breeze so they are definitely open for partnerships. I think this time it was more Runnerspace just crowding out the others because HD Runners usually likes to livestream and then reuse most of the livestream footage for his videos.

(I should have first read ahead for further comments.☺️)

The Sweepstakes girls video from runnerspace (or maybe it was hdrunners), (the only one I watched) was bad if not terrible, because they focused too long on trying to show all the runners crossing the camera view, and consequently ignored the action up front in the race.

If you're at the event and you can help run the cameras I would appreciate your help. The runners definitely appreciate the beautiful images.

Pick better teams that are currently in the rated wrote:
Based on resent results from Corona Del Mar, Newbury Park, Dana Hills, Foothill, El Dorado boys teams. Those teams should NOT be in the sweepstakes.
It is questionable why these teams are even in the sweepstakes.

Dana Hills and Newbury Park didn’t get last. They beat some teams you didn’t mention here

Menlo is #3 in the country for Hoka. And the times used were the 2-mile splits at Woodbridge

There are teams in the country that had faster 2-mile splits, but not many of those teams submitted woodbridge 2-mile splits or any 2-mile time trials to Hoka

And here, they take 7th

The biggest game changer for Mercer Island was Staddon-Smith (Jr). He was on JV the first 2 years, and this year, he is their #4 man, keeping with their #2 and #3 guys.

Mercer Island returned all of their top 5. And Powell is the only senior on this team

Northeast too. CBA and Ridgefield are incredibly strong this year, I think both teams will place higher than any CA school.

Yeah anyone thinking about transferring to Herriman just for running and really wants to make their top 7, they have to be careful with their decision.

Soles has had lots of non-transfers go from mid-pack JV sophomore year to keeping up with his varsity scorers junior year, so a varsity spot isn’t guaranteed for anyone at Herriman. Often times, his top JV guys are at the same level as his varsity scorers

He also wrote a book this year: “becoming varsity”

I'm pretty sure Evan Noonan went into the race sick. He was interviewed in the days prior to the race. When I listen to the interview he sounds sick / nasal congested.

Austin Vandegrift had better speed ratings than Southlake Carroll this weekend. Would have been nice if Vandegrift was there so these teams could go head to head
