I think it's time to ask what is up with Kamworor? We've always thought he had exceptional talent but he's been underperforming in races where he should be a real contender. He's supposed to be made for championship races and he's getting taken down by Cam Levins in 2:07. Did that accident effectively finish him as contender? I keep waiting for a big performance from him but it never comes and it's sad to see.

Three straight Half Marathon World titles, One 10000 meter WC Silver and One World Record in the HM if memory serves me right. :-)
Maybe the motorcycle accident has affected him permanently? His style is even more "lumbering" now methinks.

The km by km splits are telling. At 35k, Tola was running 2:43 per km pace. As a US runner we often don’t think minute/km pace but think of it this way - two and a half laps in 2:43 is just about 65 seconds per 400m. It was all over at that point. Looking forward to TV coverage but with our luck they will break for commercials at 35k
