Sandra Vi going for record across America

Based on the Garmin track Marina is doing around 17 minute miles this morning (20 miles in approximately 5:40).

Yes, I went back and looked at Strava (afternoon run is up now) and it was 15:40 without lunch. So a little less than 8 hours off her feet. She has been putting in 16+ hr days more lately. I don't think she can push it much more than that without blowing herself up.

10:14 PM is local time which is in the eastern timezone. She ran from until 7:14 PM Garmin time which is in the pacific timezone.

The splits I have been posting are all based in the Garmin time. Make adjustments from local time if you interested in joining one of the ladies during their trek.

It looks like Sandy may have needed to go back to the RV for something. There's a crumb before this one where she's running but then she backtracks and there's a 0.00 one, so I think this is her start. If not So Far Today will correct it.

Markus, also look at Sandy's recent photos. Her weight and physical appearance are about the same as the start. I am convinced that the amount of water and calories they are taking, and how much and when they are taken, is a key to remaining strong through a run like this. Remember that Pete was able to run 80 miles his last day. And he looked like the same Pete as he did when he started. Someone posted that Pete only lost 4 pounds during his entire run.

Sandy is fine, considering this is a cross country run.

However, Mimi is definitely overdoing it, in several different ways.

Markus, Sandy's elapsed time includes all her breaks. Mimi's excludes her breaks. Mimi's breaks get erased on Strava because she uploads separate data for each run. So, the number are even more stunning that you have in your spreadsheet.

I think he's getting the elapsed time on Strava. Yesterday for example the elapsed time was around 15:40 even though the run time was considerably less.

The elapsed times for the end of day I have been posting have been start of the day to end of the day. Sandy's Stava elapsed time matches that shown on her Strava, so breaks are included. Mimi's total elapsed times for each Strava event do not add up the actual start of day to end of day elapsed time.

For the comparison Markus did he should either add break time for Mimi, or remove the break time for Sandy. Sandy's breaks were ~40 minutes originally but have been ~30 minutes for about the last week.

As of 8:48 AM - 09:10 AM Mimi has been at the same point. She took an 8 minute break until 8:56 AM (per Garmin breadcrumbs) and has yet to restart.

So you're essentially saying he needs to add in the lunch breaks? All of Mimi's other breaks are included in the Strava Elapsed Time (not Moving Time).

Or subtract an estimated time for Sandy's lunch breaks. It seems it makes more sense to subtract the lunch break to get an better idea of miles covered when running.
