Sure many HS kids have sex. Generally out of control hormones. But rape was always been rape. And forced sex is rape, even if a male cannot get it up to complete the act.

If the event that is alleged happened more or less as claimed by the woman then that is a horrific crime and should (IMHO) disqualify Kavanaugh. But the age thing is essentially irrelevant (which Alan appears to also be stating).

I can be a real a$$ at times and this was one of them. I'm still pissed that he beat Hillary and yes, it still bothers me to this day. Hillary was NOT our best choice, but I wanted her to win even though I know she was corrupt and got caught lying many times, even by CNN. Regardless, that's why I'm lashing out at you and others on this thread.

For the record, I'm not that bright and get my information from whatever MSNBC or CNN dishes out at me. I'm a liberal at heart and yes I like free programs, even at the risk of my own country.

You ignored the part where: (a) a 15 year old is not legally of the age of consent, and (b) forced sex is rape. Kavanaugh is guilty of two different crimes here. Three crimes when you add being under the legal age for drinking alcohol.

Well I am no lawyer but if it is rape, statutory or otherwise for a boy to grope a girl, perhaps try to disrobe her, but stop before any sex occurs then something seems amiss to me. Half the boys in high school are rapists then. Perhaps assault or unlawful imprisonment, but even that seems a bit of a stretch even if reported immediately, especially when underage drinking by both parties was involved.

Fifteen years old is not a legal age of consent. In Washington DC, where the situation occurred, the legal age of sexual consent is sixteen.

Grouping is consider sexual assault. In the US groping is illegal when there is no consent. You need to take into consideration the grinding, attempted removal of clothing, and putting a hand over the mouth of the girl who did not give consent. It comes out as attempted rape of someone who did not consent and who was underage.
