So we are at a point that not only do we accept that it's OK for politicians to lie, but also Supreme Court nominees.

Maybe we all (or most) would lie about an accusation that made us look bad and couldn't be proven true, but we all aren't Supreme Court nominees about to accept a lifetime appointment.

Some positions have higher standards of ethics.

Which path do you think he should go?

Believe it, or not, the majority if potential SCOTUS candidates have never put themselves in a situation where they would need to lie about committing a sexual attack. There are a lot of other choices. Kavanaugh is damaged goods.

Someone who has attempted rape should NEVER be put on the SCOTUS.

Republicans pressured Al Franken to resign from the Senate for taking a self pretending to fondle a woman .... from ages ago. Kavanugh actually groped, tried to undress, and forced his hand over the mouth of a women .. Republicans are trying to force him onto the SCOTUS.

You know, Al Franken was a very popular Democrat senator and they asked him to step down after much tamer allegations came out against him.

A "sausage" pic would be much worse than the pic Al Franken took pretending to fondle a woman's breasts. And that pic was enough to have Republicans demanding his resignation from the Senate.

Kavanaugh is a hypocrite. One set of rules for people with his views. Another set of rules for people who do not share his views. He does not belong on the Supreme Court. /EOS

You really have to wonder about Runninart2004's background when he assures us that 100% of those who are disgusted by Kavanaugh's alleged behavior are into child pornography and when he also seems to think that attempted rape is no big deal.

1) I have no issue with you. You are just wrong on this particular topic.

2) Regarding "intelligence", what you meant there is "knowledge". Intelligence is inherent. Knowledge is gained through learning. So, you might have more knowledge about a particular subject than I do...that would be correct. I know nothing about clog dancing, so you have a shot there.

3) An opinion certainly can be wrong. Some people have the opinion that the Earth is flat. That is not correct. I could give you examples all day, but you get the point there.

I can't wait until the all-seeing eye produces the evidence of this alleged incident. It will give me confidence to take down the female political representative who forced herself on me behind closed doors about 23 years ago. I never said anything, but it happened.

I wonder why RBG wanted to make it legal for 12 year olds to give consent? I mean, I'm not saying she's put herself in a situation of questionable choices, but, her judgement is obviously in question...

Franken's allegations had pictures of him groping a woman while she was asleep. He also had MULTIPLE women come forward with allegations that he sexually assaulted them. He also didn't deny that he performed those acts. He also didn't have a third party say the assaults didn't happen as the accusers said.

Other than that, you're right. They are both the same.
