Their stories have changed and don't make any sense, but I didn't catch that change if they said it.
Read the most recent (long) fb statement that accompanied their release of the CCTV video showing RY/crackhead walking past the car wash. Maybe I misinterpreted it, but it seems like they're now using it to explain that Rob was still well behind the RV when Asher tried to find him at 2am.

Rob may never publicly release his TomTom gps data. He's not obligated to if he is only interested in the Guiness record. But for most people the issue here is that releasing this data for public review is extremely simple (would take less effort than the alternative measures they have taken such as posting a bunch of photos of summary data), and if this data appeared valid could likely bring this whole thing to a quick close. So people wonder why he would not choose that course of action if the data is legit. Proves nothing though.

What we found is that Rob placed 3rd in an age group triathlon with the name European Long Course Championship, but that this was a race with no selection criteria or qualification standards. All he needed to do to enter way pay his own way into the race. He finished with a time that was significantly slower (1 hour in an 8 hour race) than the top 6 finishers age 35-45. So no, this wasn't a lie, but people felt it was an exaggerated accomplishment that indicated a tendency to stretch the truth in order to inflate his image. The same people who reported his results on that forum were joking about how no one runs that race so they should all enter to become "European Champions".

As people have said, Rob self-proclaimed that he was a poor runner in his younger triathlon days. A sub-31 10k would not be considered poor running for a triathlete. When a 29:07 10k split was run in an olympic triathlon, many people questioned whether or not the course had been measured short. McMillan predicts that for someone with 30:47 10k ability, they should be able to run about a 2:25 marathon, and that 5:47 pace should be about their 40-Mile race pace. Given Rob's talents appear to lie in very long distances, I would expect him to be near these predicted paces at long distances. Observing Rob running a single 5:47 mile should not be taken as a reasonable indication that he ever had 30:47 10k ability. It's still a long way off.
I don't think anyone is saying that Rob REQUIRES 30:47 10k ability to complete this record. People are just saying that they don't believe it and it again indicates that his claims are likely inflated and may be untrustworthy.

That was Mike Rossi's attitude towards Letsrun as well. In his mind, we were just "12 skinny little girls", posting under various handles. Try googling "Mike Rossi" now and see what this site has done to the man's reputation. Letsrun also took down Kip Litton and exposed Paul Ryan as having lied about his marathon time.
Letsrun didn't destroy Mike Rossi because he cheated in a marathon. Carl Price was a serial cheater, outed by this forum, and his thread died down quickly, and without much fuss because he manned up and admitted that he did something stupid. Mike Rossi and Kip Litton were crucified because they couldn't bring themselves to publicly admit to making a mistake and chose instead to attack and threaten those who dared question their running abilities.
This thread is still in its initial research phase, where posters are gathering and analyzing all of the evidence. The next phase will begin when one of the brojos likely writes an article, detailing all of the evidence that Robert Young has embellished and lied about some of his past achievements and could not have run the times that he did on the first half of his trip. There may be a large monetary challenge, in support of a children's charity, for Robert Young to hold sub-6 minute per mile pace for 40 miles, or something similar.
When Wejo published his article on Rossi, many other media sources took notice and followed up with articles critical of Rossi, culminating with him being named Philadelphia's biggest loser of 2015 in a year-end article.
Robert Young and his team don't know what they're in for if they underestimate this forum. Their pathetic excuses are not going to stand up to scrutiny once all of the evidence, along with their contradictions, is synthesized into a well-written article that gets picked up by other media sources. At that point Robert and team will not only have to face the fact that they cheated, they will also have to own up to the fact that they lied to all of their supporters, making them look like fools.

You're 100% right about this.
I would even argue that it's ALREADY too late to come clean and that his reputation is already damaged beyond repair. Coming clean would destroy everything he's built in terms of a following, his reputation, and his business. Refusing to come clean results in the surgical dissection of his credentials that you described.
The ONLY thing that can save Robert Young at this point is verifiable GPS data made available for the entire public to see. That data exists, but it will never see the public eye because it would expose his cheating.

I wondered the same thing. The twitter post below on that account states that Cheryl doesn't think RY is actually running this whole thing.

Talk about following the money... I became even more suspicious when I realized who was in Rob's RV. I think Rob is not only delusional about his running abilities (so much that he embellishes it to the Nth degree) but I also think he's being used by these people.

I drove by them during this time frame, and they were filming with a crew (possibly ESPN; matches their timeline anyway). They were not making any progress during that time. There shouldn't be GPS data for that time unless he left his watch running or something.

All ultras are stunts and jokes and the people that do them all cheat just like race walkers do. So called ultra runners run and walk (and sometimes ride/take short cuts) so called walkers walk and run. It's always been this way and always will be. This Rob Young fake farce is just another example.
Good entertainment though until the next Athletics Diamond League Grand Prix and the Olympics.
