Who among us has not had a months long negotiation process to return something that we stole? It is called give and take. I know for a fact that most thieves are given many, many months to decide whether to return what they stole. The FBI broke that well established courtesy getting all legalistic.

The Trump crowd is so fervent in defending a horrible human being. The other side is so adamant with their derision toward this horrible person.

I, too, think that Trump is awful and probably deserves time in prison, that I doubt he will see. He is treasonous, an enemy of this country, a traitor, and has absolutely no respect for democracy or the constitution. That said, I just can’t imagine devoting so much time focused on him.

Subjects that probably deserve more derision, but that I don’t have the time or attention to devote to thinking about them, are awful people like Jim Jordan, Lauren Boebert, Matt Gaetz, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, Lindsey Graham, etc. These clowns are such Trump sycophants and have their noses so far up Trump’s backside, that they are just as awful. These people and the citizen that defend them love Trump more than the country. I will admit it’s been entertaining watching all of them melt down and cry, though.

Decent and respectful Republicans, that respect the constitution and do love the country, people like Adam Kinzinger, Liz Cheney, Mitt Romney, Jeff Flake, John Kasich, Larry Hogan, etc, are outcasts in the GOP now. Their crime? They had the decency and courage to speak out against Trump. They know what is right and what is wrong (and illegal). I guess there is still the congress woman from SC, Nancy Mace. She at one time was a supporter of Trump but once she saw what he really is, she denounced him. She is a smart and decent person and that could be her downfall.

I miss principled Republicans. They believed in democracy, opportunity for all, and freedom. Their basic quibble with Democrats was about budgetary priorities and the reach of federal power. Weirdly enough, they would work with the other party to find a compromise on such matters. I even found myself voting for an "R" from time-to-time because they had good rational ideas and sound experience. Those were the days!

Trump was a lifelong democrat, if people think he is actually intelligent, and not just a guy who picked a party due to opportunity to further his love power and adoration, maybe his plan all along was to destroy the GOP. The GOP certainly has become an embarrassment and in many ways the opposite of it's core values - they now worship a p*ssy grabbing man whose held a bible exactly once, dodged service, lies almost every sentence, loves Russia and North Korea, so much so that he is actively dismantling democracy in what appears to be an attempt to remodel USA into having the same centralized authoritarian government where he can rule until his death and thereafter have his children continue to rule. The new Democratic People's Republic of America (DPRA) and the mob will chant and chant and chant. News flash, if Trump could have his way, in the DPRA dream you fools are so desperate to see come into fruition, he'll be the one taking away your guns.

The purpose of Putin's speech on 2/21 was to justify his invasion of Ukraine, which began 3 days later. The purpose of Biden's speech last night was to justify the arrest of his predecessor & top rival—which after the MAL raid could happen any day and seems more likely than not.

So now Putin is a bad guy? I thought it was NATO's fault he invaded a sovereign nation?

I want to know what was in the 43 empty classified folders. Where did that stuff go? Who did he give it to? This is starting to look like an Edward Snowden situation.

I miss cheap gas, cheap food, safe streets, low taxes, the lack of a war in Ukraine, peaceful relations with Israel and Saudi Arabia, a time when Russia wasn’t conducting military exercises with China, etc. But I guess you feel a handful of idiots with red hats is a greater threat to your daily life. Using one event to define an entire party, would be like defining the Democratic Party by the slew of riots and looting in the lead up to the 2020 election.

They want to power to shoved their opinions down the majority of American's throats. Conservative whites will get the bigliest pay. They want the minimum wage to be $0.00. They want minorities and democrats to pay all the taxes. They only want conservative whites to own every gun. They want every government decision making decision to go to conservative whites.

In general, people insult others because they are insecure and immature. Anger generally intensifies the situation.

I also miss when Colorado was still a red state and wasn’t overrun with potheads and heroin addicts on every street corner. When one could still go downtown or through Civic Center park without it looking like something out of a zombie movie. And, yes, I have voted for the occasional Democrat: Ritter for governor, Hickenlooper for mayor. Although, as I have gotten older, the likelihood of voting for a Democrat goes down each year the closer they move towards socialism.

If you cant recognize that it is more than a 'handful of idiots in red hats' you are a lost cause. The number of Trump back Repuks on the ticket this fall alone confirms he is running the GOP. The GOP you remember no longer exist thus Sleepy Joe's speech last night.
