He ran against weak opponents and had millions of white guilt votes as he had many 20 some year olds thought it would be cool to have a black president.

Before hip hop, videos, the internet, instagram, etc...that never would have happened. He knew what he was doing and how to get the votes. I did not vote for him, but he was a great orator. He was also dishonest and went back on many, many campaign promises, just not the kind where you get impeached.

Yes, you're correct, he did attend a controversial black church and had very suspicious relationships with many people, not just black people.

So can Trump be elected again? Without a viable honest candidate on the Left, I wouldn't bet against him.

As for those with no brain who choose to follow Flagpole and praise his every word, Trump will positively finish his first term, believe it or not.

Sanders won. I don't know if people were chosing Sanders because they didn't know who he was!

Trump won't be the Republican candidate. I don't know who will. I thought maybe someone like Romney, Cruz, Rubio but apparently they aren't going to run. Maybe Kasich.

Unless there is some sort of smoking gun Trump will be the Republican candidate. I believe they are just taking this hit and waiting until the next president.

Real power lies with the Supreme Court and Congress. That is the only good the GOP gets from Trump. Lawmakers play Chess, Presidents play Checkers.

Had any Dem won in 2016 SCOTUS would have replaced two right leaning judges with two left leaning judges.

Democrats win big in 2018, at least in the House. Democrats win big in 2020. In 2022 the GOP wins big. I’ve seen this movie before, it’s very predictable.

Also Bob Woodward will come out with another Trump book after 2020, then another president’s book a couple years later....so long he’s still breathing.

There will be another ramp up in the Middle East....most likely Syria....My guess is around 2025-2030 (GOP President in office).

Whenever a party has gained control of all three branches of government there has been an ensuing bloodbath the following election. I have voted for Republicans and Democrats in every election since I was able to vote. I adjust my votes to hope that one party DOES NOT gain control over all three branches. The government is more balanced when the other side can keep things from happening.

Unfortunately, the moron, Mitch McConnell has f'ed up everything to the point that cannot see voting for many, of any, Republicans in the future. The Trump-McConnell version of the party needs to die a permanent death.

The way to fix the Supreme Court and other courts is to have add more justices, and have a Democrat president appoint them all, with zero Republican say so, in as quick a manner as possible. That is McConnell's legacy, a court-packing attempt that is smashed by added more judges across the board.
