19,750 at inauguration. It was self inflicted wound by Trump to drive it down to 15.2k April 8. It is a solid gain since inauguration, but lets not pretend the low was anything other terrible economic policy by Trump. And the recovery has been at least in part to him backing off.
Great that the market is up, but there are cracks all over in the economy now that are attributable to Trump and tariffs. Low job numbers, dollar falling, prices rising, low consumer confidence & spending, alienating trade partners & allies. He is decimating the low cost work force. Taking over independent agencies and companies will cause problems.
