He was a VA prior to being full time Director of Operations. Not sure why it is phrased like that. Also they butchered some of the athletes names on that release. Fact checking and spell checks are always good habits prior to a release:)

Not really a downgrade considering. It's a DI program that has a long history of solid throwers. He also gets a juco Hammer thrower that went 68+. If anything, he comes out on top.

Why Would texas have 3 coaches leading Sprints, Relays and Hurdles? It's not like the have way too many sprinters/hurdlers.
Its n Ego thing for Texas, The magic is gone. and they are not the sprint/hurdle team they used to be. Heck Baylor and A&M has the momentum in the sprint area of the State of Texas
If any school lost sprint momentum, it's Texas a&m. Not even close to the powerhouse they use to be with exception of Fred kerley last yr. I think Texas is doing better than them on the women's side
Enlighten me. How did Texas A&M (place) at NCAA meet? Now tell us all how Texas did. Then give us the definition of momentum. Now go kneel somewhere.
I guess that scuttles conventional wisdom of volunteering or working as a GA to obtain a paid assistant position. Interesting, but possibly brilliant.

Actually when it comes to where did all the sprint momentum go in the state of Texas, it's largely because Houston stepped up their game on the men's side, while Texas slid a lot and A&M took a small step back.

Well not really, I think it more so let’s you know where the coaches head is at. It would seem like he didn’t want someone with coaching experience but for what reason who knows. Maybe so he can mold them into what he wants them to be, and also so the incumbent doesn’t come in with their own philosophies and strategies of coaching. If it works for him that’s great, but it’s definitely not replacing the conventional way.
Oh when someone puts on their bio that they finished in the top 5% at a major marathon, you know they’re reaching to justify themselves for the job with no experience.

4 out of all schools head coaches are also the throws coaches
4 throws coaches out 55 available positions are female
2 coaches are foreigners, 2 are from races other than generally white or African American
Wonder if exthrower is on this list

Agreed and FWIW, I was being slightly sarcastic. But, I've also been wrong before. We'll see how it plays out. Best of luck to the coaches and the athletes.

Lmao she coached MSSU’s first indoor and outdoor qualifiers. Laughable.

Texas A&M has loads of sprinters, but barely made any noise in Championship. Texas Women's team did way better than A&M this yr.

You seem to be neglecting their 2:59 4x400 which demolished everyone and their two 4th place 4x100s.
They aren't as strong as in the past but Texas A&M is doing just fine in sprints

His bio says he was In 2010, he was a travel coach for Lolo Jones and she would go on to win gold at the IAAF World Indoor Championships in the 60 meter hurdles. What the hell is a travel coach? Wasn't Dennis Shaver her coach?
