Ordinarily the CofA considers questions of law rather than debate the facts, so the most likely outcome of the case (which could well conclude after the Trump presidency, and almost certainly after the 2026 elections) is that it would be sent back down to the trial court to reconsider the penalty judgment.

I believe there is a third order out there denying another Trump DOJ motion on the grand jury testimony.
My guess is that, despite commenting on them, you've never read any of them. There are several posters here that follow that practice of commenting from deliberate ignorance: Newmen, AdultinRoom, Ghosts, and that guy who gets beat up by blacks. It's really fucking weird behavior.

Worrying about your enemy's mood and thirst for revenge is not a way to conduct a war. We've been spending massive amounts on our military for decades precisely so we don't have to worry about Russia's propensity for increased thuggery.
But Trump is nonsensical and grossly hypocritical in that criticism of Biden, when Trump won't provide Ukraine with the military support that he's criticizing Biden for not providing. Trump is, in fact, doing the opposite and providing less military support -- he's also using the threat of no military support as leverage against Ukraine to get them surrender parts of their country to Russian invaders. Completely disingenuous and hypocritical.
Is Trump really hypocritical? Or is he just too demented and lazy to remember what he said before. The way he rants and froths and whines, it is not clear that there is much happening up there in his head, so it might be unfair to claim he is wrecking stuff on purpose....
Remember how his more intelligent advisors last term spoke about how difficult it was to get him to actually read anything, and how they had to use pictures like with a child?

Biden attempted humanitarian aid to Palestinians. He restricted the amount and type of weapons to Israel and how they could be used. He condemned killing of civilians.
Trump opened the weapons floodgates to Israel with no use restrictions, has never attempted humanitarian aid and has never condemned civilian killings.
The above are facts. If you want to believe that Biden was for the Gaza war, you are welcome to that opinion. Trump has objectively made the Gaza war worse.

Very good, Newman! That’s probably your best post ever.
But I’d point out the case wasn’t held to be “nutty” however. In fact the New York appellate court affirmed the AG not only had authority to bring the fraud case against Trump and his businesses, but affirmed the factual findings of fraud, lies, biffage, and graft that we all know Trump has engaged in for decades. The fraud was pretty glaring in the opinion.
I assume Trump will appeal that, at least on behalf of Donald Jr. and Eric Dog. But I think the case might also go back to the trial court to recalibrate the disgorgement (“penalty”). That said, I skimmed the opinion and I couldn’t find anywhere that the appellate court was remanding back down to do that. Anyone know?
