Yeah, I know. Florida, though.
Being 35 lbs overweight doesn’t help you either Wejo.
Kinda anti-climactic after all that carnage it will still be Kenyans 1-2-3
Never mind, I didn't see that Helalia Johannes is still going to finish 3rd

Only one of the top runners is running for Kenya. Johannesburg of Namibia is third
Tangents?
Chepngetich takes her water bottle 25 seconds from the finish!
Isn't it Day 2 in Doha now?
Groner 6th in 2:38. Absolutely impressive in these conditions.
Groner 6th in 2:38, beats first Japanese girl by about 20 secs
The line of torches spewing fire as the runners finish is a nice touch. I'm sure they all appreciate the heat output.
Edna 4th, kudos Mom. Mazaronek 5th, Did Groner hold off Tanimoto for 6th? Full time nurse, mom 3 , 41 yrs old....
So do the first 10 qualify for Tokyo 2020?
Canadian Lyndsay Tessier, 41yo, finishing 9th
I mean, do the first ten have Olympic qualifying standard for Tokyo by virtue of their finish here?

They now have the standard, yes.
Yes, Top 10 get Tokyo 2020 "A" Standard, but that does not mean they are on their respective national teams. For example, Groner will have to place Top 3 in Atlanta, but she already had the standard.

Irrelevant for the US. Top top 5 at trials get the standard.
Kelsey Bruce hangs in there & finishes 38th out of 68 starters. 29 DNFs.
