44.4 for Rai Benjamin seems a bit underwhelming compared to everyone else
Agreed - he looked tired the last 100m.

Omg Rai walked down
Great race in fairness.
With one day's rest, Rai said his legs were a bit tired in Paris. Wonder if that was a factor here.
CBC commentator saying he ran too conservatively.
Botswana is a country with a population of 2.5 million, equivalent to the population of the Portland, OR metro area. Unbelievable.
Wonder if Rai running in the puddles of lane 1 in the final 100m cost him the win there, his stride seemed a bit unusual.
Congrats you’re wrong on two points

I hope not. I want to see him build a huge base over the winter. No indoor races either. Show up in May and smash the 5000m world record.

As an indicator of just how bad the conditions were, Portugal had one leg at 50.++
They dropped the baton. I saw it for a second on the feed.
And the Americans were fresher.

Serves the US right for getting 3rd as we never should've been there to begin with.
Cole Hocker, you're a tremendous runner, but please cut your hair and look like a adult man.
Next you're gonna hate on his ice blue eyes aren't you? Let the man have his locks
Lane 1 for US was a huge disadvantage. It was totally flooded. Impressed they got 2nd.
A bit surprised Rai couldn't hang on. Great race. Lane 1 was completely water-logged.

52.6 (27.1/25.5) last lap. Jakob might be cooked. I said watching Millrose he’d never win a gold again. I now feel correct, even in the 5,000.
For an informed man like yourself that's an unexpected thing to hear from you.
Talent doesn't go away. He'll be back with a bang next season.
ThoughtsLeader nah he's overrated

Portugal. They dropped the baton.
Rai made mistake of looking up at screen to check position at end and was passed. Close by Keb and Nene was awesome.
Competition halted!! Apparently not. Women's 4x400 lining up.

Congrats Cole Hocker, while Jakob Ingebrigtsen embarrasses himself. If he was going to be in this poor of condition why even come here. He 100% needs new coaching or he should retire! Perhaps he should suck in hope and make piece with his father. That his brothers let him come to this meet is basically malpractice in the highest order! He just looked pathetic out there! This is the worse performance of a defending champion since John Walker in 1977. He broke the world record and won the 1976 Olympics as a 24 year old and yes he also had an injury, but just one year later in 1977, he was destroyed by Steve Ovett to the point that he "quit" the race ; and never again was he the top miler/1500m. for the rest of his career he was an also ran. If he is not careful that will be the future for Jakob.
I broke the world record for speed and power the way I rushed to downvote this unhinged comment.

valiant effort for Rai
Rai needed to wait about 20 meters to go and they win.
