So what are you going to do about it?
you have 3 options:
go and fight.
send money.
broker a peace deal.
which one do you propose?
You are correct that I’m no historian, but I do understand geography. In WWII Hitler would have had a monumental logistical obstacle in trying to attack the United States due to the 3,000 miles of Atlantic Ocean. He would have been at a severe disadvantage by having to haul fuel, supplies, equipment and troops over the ocean to fight on our home turf. The same concept applies here with Russia. Russia would have all of the same hurdles to overcome, not to mention the fact that we have nukes.
so we’ve established that Russia is NOT a direct threat to the US, has not attacked us in any way - in fact it’s the opposite we’ve launched missiles at them - and you’re trying to claim that it is a dire situation because the conflict “hurts our interest” in some vague way without explaining why.
I disagree. Whether some towns in Ukraine are part of Ukraine or Russia does not harm us.
therefore the burden of proof is on you to justify a horrifying escalation with a formidable opponent.
Out of the 3 options above, which do you propose?
