This is such a sneaky good recruit. She’s an amazing cross country runner- 4th in CA D1 last year who was hurt in the spring so didn’t post JR track times. But if you watch her run you can see the potential. Great scouting by BYU.

Agree. Great mechanics, competitive, has the right skill sets to develop. Look at Nelah Roberts and how well she is doing at BYU and was not necessarily a superstar in Idaho prep.

Not really. Bayles is Mormon and of course sought out BYU.

Very little of the recruiting at BYU involves scouting. It is screening the Mormon applicants from around the country who would like to run there.

Even the non Mormons, there are 2 currently on the women's team, sought out BYU as they were devout Christians of another faith hoping that BYU would offer a serious, trouble free environment.

What is, however, really amazing is just how many good Mormon runners there are right now.

Not sure how they had room for her on the roster, or if she'll actually crack that very deep lineup for a couple years. I'm sure she's pumped that Diljeet believes in her and will surely get the best out of her. My sincere Congrats.
