They are basing their Air Academy ranking on Woodbridge. A meet they ran without their #3 an #4 runners on short rest after Liberty Bell. But Niwot is solid as well.
Uh-huh. I did not insinuate or state that at all. Read more carefully, I said he was not the same level as the Niwot guy. I did point out that AA girls are fed by Rainsbergers club. That is a fact. I also said it has to be a giant bag of suck for the AA coach.

For the most part, Texas HS coaches support each other and are happy to see each other do well. When a team makes NXN, we want them as close to the top as possible. I even lobby for other Texas schools to get at large bids.
BTW if the South ever deserved an at large bid (or two!), it is this year. Girls teams in the south are 4-5 deep this year.

to be fair, they never claimed to be. early season rankings probably had too much memory going on. also credit to Flower Mound as they have far exceeded expectations with nearly everyone making huge jumps. Southlake still has a "good" team not in comparison with Flower Mound. 3 girls under 18 and another 7 under 19. That won't beat Flower Mound with all scorers in the 17's, but there will be a distant battle for 2nd in the South among a few teams like Lovejoy, Northwest Nelson, and Woodlands.

In alphabetical order: Air Academy, Mountain Vista and Niwot. MV is still my pick, running well since August. AA is stacked, but 2nd and Niwot, well, it looks like a rebuilding year for them. Flower Mound is will mix this all up at NXN this year! Still Colorado could take top 3 teams, and half of the top 10 finishers this year. Sweet!
