The 4:45 freshman didn’t run XC last fall.
CDA will come out of the WEST with Jesuit trailing behind. Again, no Washington State school will make NXN for the second year straight.

They have 2 guys that have a legitimate shot to get top 10 at NXN, and in fact, one of them can get top 1. They return Tostenson (8:39 3200), and these 2-mile times Kitchen - 8:58 (11) Hokanson - 9:42 (11) Miracle - 9:52 (9) Goode - 9:58 (9) Headley - 10:10 (11) Also Shore (10) ran a 9:00 3k.
Seems like Crater will be a better team than last year.

Why are you listing their 3200 times? The run 3k at Oregon and their 1500 times converts are more impressive. They are better than this

The big story to me is the demise of Washington State Distance running. Where are the quality programs?
Kamiakin seems to be slowly but surely making its way back to the top. They are going to have the best team they had since 2019. They return 3 juniors, 4 sophs, and 1 freshman under 10 mins for the 3200. Their top guy will be a senior and he has an older brother who was #1 on the team in fall 2019, 2020, and 2021.
Sehome returns 7 under 10 in the 3200.
Issaquah is also looking to be really solid. They return 3 under 9:20, and 5 under 10.
CDA just went 2-4-6 in the Idaho 5A 3200m. All 3 of those boys return- due to Idaho qualification, they only get 3 guaranteed spots. They did put 3 boys in front of Rocky's top returner.

CDA going to place top 5. They just ran 9:06, 9:14, 9:19 with their top 3 returners. I'm not in Boise, but it looks like while the temps are nice, the wind is pretty heavy, making this more impressive.
The state 1600m record will be under assault tomorrow, aparantly its only 4:07 (I thought Nathan Green ran faster?) but there are 11 Idaho boys who have run 4:14.99 or faster, including 4 who are non seniors.

Two girls went under the previous state record of 10:30 (by Lexy Halladay-Lowry no less) Rilyn Stevens of Mountain View (Sr, 10:25) and Ruby Ihmels (FRESHMAN 10:28)
6 Idaho girls broke 11, including 3 who are non seniors.
12 Idaho girls ran 11:10 or faster, including EIGHT non seniors
Nathan Green did run faster, just not at the Idaho State Meet. Slagowski and Green are the two fastest 1600m boys from Idaho. Sainsbury also ran faster than that.

Nelah Roberts also went 10:20 in the 4A race. Second place was 11:00.
