Chris Chavez annoys me for some reason. Hard to pinpoint, perhaps he’s trying to go out of his way to be nice and inclusive?

Yeah, I admire them but when a guy wins by 9 minutes it's not a competition, it's a sideshow.
6th fastest half marathon of the year 1:05:42 for leading woman.

People tolerate it but nobody cares or tunes in to see it. It’s a charity event.

Chepngetich and Hassan are 2 minutes behind Rupp and Mantz at the half. Either those women completely fall apart or they're doped to the gills.
How do you figure?
Women's WRs in distance events are all 10-11% behind men's.
The relevant comparison is to elite men, and these women are as far behind elite men as expected.
It is not their fault fact that Rupp and Mantz are not running elite performance.
That pace is far faster than 11% off the men's record. It's closer to 8% which is bonkers.
Local announcer says they’re approaching 25k when they were past it , lol.

Yip, they spend way too much time on the wheelchair racers
Hopefully we get interviews from the top 10 wheelchair race finishers
Interviewing a literal wheelchair would be more interesting than most talks with Rupp.
"Kelvin Kiptum's a fast finisher."
He just like me fr ;)
For those still watching the NCB stream...
1. Download the browser "opera" (it's both safe and free - feel free to research)
2. Activate the VPN in settings
3. Set location to "Asia"
4. Watch live on the Olympic channel (I can't post the link because LRC hates me)

Legitimately the worst marathon coverage I've ever seen. Also, nothing but respect to wheelchairers, but their coverage needs to be cut 90%.
Try watching Houston sometime.
Houston has really good coverage. They don't even cover the wheelchair competitiors.

also ask some of the spectators what they ate for breakfast.
It would be fine if it were like the Berlin production—just a minute on the wheelchair wins. Split screen with any interview.
Bashir Abdi is running smartly and leading chase group
Anybody got an update on the wheel chair races?
Mateiko with the King-Fu Kenny headband. Kinda rooting for him to win right now. XD
I keep going to the Olympic channel live section and Chicago isn't listed. I have a VPN on. where on the website is it?

Houston has the best coverage, they offer multiple free streams (marathon, half, general). The marathon and half streams show the leaders the entire time without break. The general stream is more typical American coverage but combined with the other two, and it being free, make it the best.
Split screen with one on the current interview of wheelchair winner and other screen on ... replays of him finishing? smh
