In a numerical answer, how many karyotypes exist in human? If your answer is two, I hope you are ready for your Ig Nobel prize.
I'm afraid you have failed, the question required a 'numerical' answer. Please ensure careful reading next time to ensure a chance at top marks. You've also somehow got negative marks for conflating karotypes (irrelevant) with gametes (relevant) when trying to ascertain the binary nature of sex. For what it's worth, the correct answer was "2".
I'm afraid you have failed. You are conflating the number of gametes with the number of sex. You've got absolutely the worst marks for your nonsensical answer.
Now where should I send my nomination for the Ig Nobel prize?

Sounds like you think runners get on the track for reproductive activities.
For anti-trans, anti-intersex activists, humans exist only for the objective of reproduction. Everything else exists for the supreme cause of reproduction.

Huh? Kiltedrunner asked how many different gametes humans have, and you came back with an idiotic non sequitur - "how many karyotypes exist in humans?" - like it's some kind of clever gotcha.
This just goes to show ever more clearly that you can't provide any coherent arguments for your repeated ridiculous assertion that "human sex isn't binary." It also suggests you have no clue what gametes and karyotypes are.
If based on the existence of two different gametes, you think sex is binary, it just goes to show that you are clueless about people called intersex. Maybe get educated about them first before insulting others’ intelligence?

A nonsensical question deserves an equally nonsensical answer.
I wonder why anti-trans people are so eager to deny the existence of intersex people. What are they afraid of? Does their anti-trans ideology depends on the absence of intersex people?

Nobody is afraid of anythng having to do with this trans thing. Hell be whatever you want why would anyone care just don't think as a man you can compete in girls sports, THAT is the problem. Fear.....not at all.

Jesus, I used to think you were just so cognitively dissonant on this issue because you have a trans kid or something, not because you're just plain stupid. You're doing your best to prove otherwise.
I have a left shoe and a right shoe. Binary choice of shoes.
A) if I put on both shoes, are there still just a left shoe and right shoe or have I created an entirely new type of shoe?
B) if I put on neither shoe, does this create an entirely new shoe?
(*Whispers to 'just another hobby jogger' so the rest of the class don't hear* In this basic metaphor - left shoe represents large gametes and right shoe represents small gametes. Please don't take it literally as you so often do, bless your simple heart. Don't start talking about variations of shoe size or how your auntie Susan once had a broken shoe).

Translation: I don't have an answer to his question. So I am going to throw another non sequitur.

And by the way, people with DSD's (intersex is an outdated, inaccurate term) don't produce 'both' gametes; they are either infertile or produce only one functional gamete. So the shoe analogy is already extremely generous to your preposterous notion and yet it still comes out with the answer of two.

Yet another example of how this cult group considers reproduction as the sole reason for human existence.

You didn't ask a question though did you, you wrote some rhetorical personal attacks with question marks on the end. I nevertheless answered by explaining that 'intersex' doesn't exist in the way you think/wish it does (it doesn't exist outside of the gender binary and those with DSD's can only produce one gamete type). However, I've asked you questions with real, objective answers- 'how many youth world records are held by girls?' and 'how many different gametes are present in humans?'. The fact that you completely refused to answer either of them is very telling. Go on, surprise me. Answer them both. Pretty please?
Yet another example of how this cult group considers reproduction as the sole reason for human existence.
And despite your mournful wails, your impotent squealing, every single person on earth was born because a female's large gamete joined with a male's small gamete, yes, even you, despite how much that knowledge upsets your world view. And the world goes on being round.

Oh good grief. No one is "denying the existence of" people with differences or disorders of sex development, DSDs. As you know from our many past exchanges, I'm actually pretty well informed about the 40 or so different conditions considered DSDs. In fact, I think I'm more knowledgable about them than you are.
But one of the many areas of disagreement between us is the nomenclature for these conditions and the people affected by them.
You insist on othering and monstering people with DSDs by calling them "intersex," an outdated, stigmatizing, political term that gender identity activists use and favor because it helps create, perpetuate and spread the pernicious myth that people with DSDs occupy some strange, otherworldly no-man's, no-woman's land in between the sexes - or they are somehow both sexes at once, or neither sex at all.
Whereas I try to use more accurate and anodyne terms like DSDs, VSDs (variations of sex development) and and VSCs (variations of sex characteristics). Because those types of terms are preferred over the misleading, pejorative "intersex" by a large number of individuals and families directly affected by these conditions, including many of the (female) women who've miscarried or given birth to and raised offspring with DSDs.
The below essay is very quickly written and still very much a work in progress, but I felt it was important to share some of this information as part of Intersex Awareness Day. As someone bor…
Another area of disagreement between us is that I recognize that there's a wide variety of DSD conditions, including DSDs that solely affect female sex development such as the 45,X DSD that runs in my own family. In fact, I am aware that the majority of people with DSDs have DSDs that only occur in females. Whereas the only people with DSDs that you ever seem to notice, bring up and give a hoot about are those with differences solely of male sex development.
People with differences of male sex development seem to be the only people with DSDs who appear on your radar and ever warrant your notice, mention, consideration and sympathy. Because people with male-only DSDs like Caster Semenya, Dutee Chand and Maria Jose Martinez Patino are useful to the regressively sexist, misogynistic gender identity ideology you're pushing.
Gender identity ideologues love to bring up people with variations of male sex development because you can exploitatively weaponize them as "gotchas" and claim the fact that some males have internal testes and missing, malformed or minuscule penises somehow supposedly proves that "sex isn't binary"and supports all the rest of the rubbish you're pushing as you wage war against material reality and have a grand old time thumping your chest promoting unfair treatment of female people.

That was the longest “trans people deserve respect, but…” post I’ve ever read. Your acceptance of someone’s identity should not have to be conditional on the activity they are doing at a given moment. If someone tells me she is a woman in 100% of her daily life, then that includes when she is running.
Would you still refer to her as “she” on the cross country course?
actually it can and it does. There is a way to show respect and humanity to trans people while also standing against unfair policies in sports.
We have a winner! Someone who understands nuance and complexity! Someone who can separate acceptance & humanity from fairness & equity in sport! Someone who knows how to find that line in the sand and defend a stance on an issue without attacking the individual humans involved! Bravo! Bravo! Shout it from the rooftops!
Crickle crackle crackhead should read this post over and over and over like Sisyphus and his rock until bits and pieces of it begin to settle in... a sort of osmosis of thought.

So when a transgender athlete gets 5th in a race, and you say “that’s a biological male!” Is that showing respect and humanity towards her?
At least he has enough respect and decency to be honest.
You should try it some time, instead of perpetuating lies. If people never tell you the truth and always feed you lies, then after a while you could start believing them. 'The Emperor's New Clothes' is a little story that illustrates this point.
RunRagged, thanks for the reply, but I was just listing your name since you posted about that situation.
Regarding this topic (and others), I think a lot of us are talking right past each other with the assumption that we have the same idea of truth and what that "truth" means, but I don't think that we do.
GD, that is an applicable quote. Thanks. I have been unaware of who Peirce was, so that's cool. Do you think we are anywhere close to being able to recognize "truth" as public? I don't. I suppose the NKorea style and Dear Leader is the closest, assuming that what we've heard about NKorea is true.
I'm curious to hear more of your thoughts on North Korea.
One way to have public truths that aren't top-down manipulations, people have to be exposed to multiple points of view and decide for themselves which argument makes the most sense. There's a Jonathan Rauch book called Kindly Inquisitors: New Attacks on Free Thought that calls this process "liberal science." It makes a lot of sense to me.
In the liberal science, debate process of knowledge production, nobody has the final say (anybody could eventually be proven wrong, especially with advances in science and technology, human bias, etc.) and nobody has special authority to make claims.
Right now, people tend to be isolated in ideological bubbles, and this makes their arguments weaker because they rarely have to defend them against sharp criticism. J.S. Mill would argue that they can't be said to know the truth because they haven't fully considered whatever matter is at hand. Outside viewpoints are treated as heresy.
In addition, appeals to special authority have become accetable. In the trans debate, we see this is the idea that a trans person's self-knowledge or lived experience gives them special insight into sex and gender that cannot be challenged by others. Special authority = authoritarianism. When authoritarianism happens in a context where people are put through special "trainings" in workplaces and schools and coerced into confessing their so-called sins publicly, reciting propaganda ("trans women are women" "my pronouns are she/her"), and redefining some words while banning others, we're in the territory of totalitarianism.
When people try to control your words, the real objective is to control your thoughts.

This is wild. So as long as you are honest about how you discriminate against individuals, that makes you a decent person?
A) if I put on both shoes, are there still just a left shoe and right shoe or have I created an entirely new type of shoe?
B) if I put on neither shoe, does this create an entirely new shoe?

You are simply wrong, ovotesticular DSD being an example, but in any case, the existence of both is unnecessary to be classified as intersex in the view of every medical professional out there.
With your naive analogies, you appear to be creating a binary classification based on the existence of either ovaries or testes (and rejecting the existence of both), but that classification is just in your head, not in the real world.
Running or bathroom use has nothing to do with sperm or egg production inside of you, reproduction does.
