Does Hayward have it's own weather station? I think so. Public access?
(remember internet weather sites typically just check local airport public data, far away)
Air quality is very good, surprisingly. Their have their own PurpleAir which is a high end device so that hints they have their own weather station which I am still searching for

It was a little strange to hear that. “They have to make sure to run the kick out Hiltz. They have a fast kick.” Or something like that. I could see someone who doesn’t know about the situation be confused by that.
The language could be a little clumsy but an alternative could be “The field has to make sure to run the kick out of Hiltz since Hiltz has a fast kick.”
of course there is an alternative, but it's not something a commentator should be putting mental energy into when they have a lot of other things they should be thinking of talking about.

Carrie is a decent announcer. The dude (John?) is terrible.
Usually I'm amused when the [British] announcers are like, "this is absolutely pedestrian," but this guy has a condescending tone without knowing much (also called Nuguse's prelim 3:35 as slow).
Still unable to process that Teare failed to qualify for the final. Can we get some historical perspective on this epic fail….not make the team, ok, but not even make the final????
Not nearly as disappointing as Alan Webb at the 2008 OT failing to make the final a year after setting the AR in the mile.
Not sure why you got so many upvotes for this comment. Alan Webb DID make the final that year and finished 5th. He did fail to make the team which, obviously, was disappointing.
Also when he brought up that Salazar was ruined— by the heat in Boston—you could tell Carrie was thinking about three different things that Salazar never came back from.
