Just saw that Sage DNFed due to lung/chest pain at mile 50ish. I think his competitive running career is done at this point, the PE really did a number on his lungs and while I'm not a pulmonologist, I wouldn't be surprised if it's best for his long-term health to lay off running entirely. He should really get checked out by a good pulmonologist before continuing on. Really feel bad for the guy.
Back when he had "pneumonia", lots of commenters in the medical field (including myself) were telling him to get a second opinion when he was complaining of stabbing chest pains when he tried to run a 10 minute mile. Had he listened he may have been in better shape. The moral of the story is that if you think something is wrong, and people are urging you to get it checked out, GET IT F*CKING CHECKED OUT.
