I think the important thing is to not fully bash the one's who actually accomplished things because they can back it up. I'm not a Teare fan but he has decent performances. I've been defending Centro because I'm a big fan of his(that just happens in any sport you get fans when you're great at something). I just find it hard to respect the guys who mostly get their clout from social media and who instigate things because they have a following and finally gained some acceptance in their life. I can only imagine how half of the guys would react if they were Centro. But it's almost impossible because none of these guys are as accomplished as him. Centro is bringing in fans from outside of the running community who want to cheer for him because he has accomplished so much. I hope Centro reads this and knows that a lot of people look up to him. Let the barkers bark because that's all they can do since they can't win an international medal. But for those Oregon runners who ran 3:50, amazing job. Even Kevin Hart acknowledges you. Keep going after it. Don't let the instigators turn you against Centro and vice versa. I believe they can also be olympic medalists one day too, but also respect Centro. He is the first one in a long time to win the top prize in one of the most popular events in track.

I think Teare's trying to distance himself a little bit from this whole mess. He even told his fanboys on Strava to chill out and stop attacking Centro.
It's possible for everyone involved to be wrong. The mouthy kid should not have tagged Centro and Centro should have just laughed, looked at his Olympic gold, and moved in to something else without reply.
