Trump abused Giuliani. In an infamous incident during the 2020 election loss, Trump threw a plate of spaghetti at Giuliani. Spaghetti sauce all over Giuliani's suit, dripping down on his pants and shoes. Totally humiliating. That's the only instance I'm aware of where Trump actually threw food at someone.
You need better intelligence or sources, a lot of wild guesses. Cruz, for one, has been about as pro MAGA as you can be. Rubio too. They ran against Trump in 2016 which nobody can fault. it’s part of what made MAGA. Trump needed a challenge. He got it and delivered.
