This just makes me feel like sparks is a closet creep for hiring that young lady knowing she has no experience. You should not get an assistant job of any capacity at a P5 without at least some college coaching experience. At least Carlson gets some stuff done. Bro or bro chick… she is getting a coaching job that pays less than 30k per year… when you are qualified to run with the women, relate to the women, recruit more women and create a positive environment around the women (all of which she is beyond qualified to do) then worry about this job that pays almost the same as a volunteer job. Go out volunteer or take some some podunk middle of no where job at a school we haven’t heard of and work your way up.
Also keep in mind it’s not like she is writing workouts for the A team…
Also yes it is wild to have a full xc team worth of distance coaches on staff!

How do we know if this is true? Someone mentioned Oral Roberts University but they aren't a start-up program just seem to be in a lull right now.

She basically said I had more experience than her and she would like to call me once in awhile for some suggestions! My former athlete didn't end up their and went to another D1 program instead. Her going San Jose State. They must be desperate. There are so many HS coaches around their in the Bay area down to the Santa Cruz area that are a lot better!
And how many high school coaches in the area wanted to take a massive pay cut to get zero scholarship money to be set up for failure? Ask David Monk how that went at Sac St. Or ask Jen DeRego how that went at UCLA. Doubt they’re desperate…looks like Chucky just knew who wouldn’t complain and someone he could likely trust. Most local high school coaches would likely have become very frustrated with the situation and caused more headaches than they were worth…especially if they were successful. The point of that job is not to compete.
