At this point, I sort of want him to finish before the record deadline. They've promised to release all the data they have to ratify it, so at that point it will be put up or shut up.

I'm happy that someone is out there keeping the guy safe and giving him a little more support-- his crew is obviously totally undermanned (which is another reason why I know he didn't put in all of those miles out west). I don't wish him any ill will. I'd just like to see the data made public.

The question was never whether he was capable of walking 50-60 miles/day in the flattest part of the country. The question was whether he could put in 70-80 mile days in the desert and mountains. That question has already been answered to my satisfaction: no, he didn't.

It looks like it was a cross wind to me but it was very windy regardless.

Many pages back, one RY sponsor @SKINSGB blocked a follower on twitter who called into question RYs pre Emporia running. Any followup on that?

Note also that bluemt95 said Laz was cheering RY on. I hope at least RY thanks Laz in his book for getting the record.

Don't forget, they have verified in their account to runners world that Rob was with the RV at Lebo (the intesection of Fauna and Old Highway 50) because that is where they were afraid of me as I ran up from behind.

If the RV did not slow down again between Emporia and Lebo (after it looped back for Rob), then he MUST be going the same pace as the RV over the distance from Emporia to Lebo in order to be with the RV when I run up behind it.

The gig is up. It's not going to get better from here. Think this thing through.

If you were on the up-and-up you would be jumping through hoops to convince skeptics rather than doing the exact opposite: refusing to release data, deleting previously public data, etc.... You would be reaching out to Robert Johnson instead of ignoring his inquiries.

We know it and you know that you cheated. The question is how does this play out from here. You need to think it through.

The Letsrun thread is a mess. Confusion helps you. But it won't stay that way. And it won't stay restricted to Letsrun. Look at what happened to Mike Rossi and Julie Miller. What started as confusing messes of internet threads eventually get turned into organized cases against you. And then the real media gets a hold of it. And then it's too late. You are sunk. For good.

How do you really think this plays out? Your best bet is to drop out quietly and slink away before it becomes "real" news. Yes, a small group of internet diehards will know you were cheats, but you won't become a mainstream Mike Rossi, Kip Litton, or Julie Miller.

You still have the chance to be a Dane Rauschenberg. The few that paid attention know he took the RV for his 202 mile Odyssey, but his cheating never went big-time and he lives to fight another day, playing small ball under the radar and smart enough to not do something stupid like what you've done.

Asher. do we have any way of finding out what barmaid and what tavern that Rob stopped at in Emporia KS? I would like to call. I am currently scanning the google map for bars along the route.

(knowing Asher he is likely 10 steps ahead of me on this investigation)
