Yes, this ^^^. I'm not sure that the arc of the universe actually bends toward justice, but it definitely bends toward reality. Getting accurate data, regardless of which administration they might help or hurt, helps in assessing both the current situation and the actions or inactions that an administration takes to address the situation.
