The salary range listed in this ad is exactly what is killing the track and field profession. $25,392.00 per year Because of salaries like this, schools will constantly be forced to hire inexperienced coaches that will look to bounce in a year or so. I spoke to a school this year about their head coaching position for M & W XC/Track and Field, that was going to pay $32,000. It is saddening to see this.................and yet schools want these positions to help drive enrollment.

Great "get" for Army. I had a chance to meet this guy a few years ago and was tremendously impressed with him and his program at Oneonta. This one is the real deal--I wish him and USMA well!

Trashy comment, do better. Indiana State is not some jewel of throwing prowess. I don't know Brandan, but his Dayton team would crush the Indiana State women in a duel meet. His resume seems more than adequate for this job.

Any idea why 9 people would turn down the Alabama throws job?

They can make an emergency hire per UC policy and then they'll have to open it up and fly it like a regular position next summer. The press release says he was hired for the 2017 season.

Payment/ salary, scholarships given to throws, Dan Waters, one or all maybe?
