You don’t get big jobs without having signed and developed NCAA finals level athletes. Considering Western Carolina had no presence at all in the throws that tells you enough. A couple of NCAA regional competitors Does not get you anywhere.
In addition an athlete and coach at WCU only. Though he has done some USTFCCA courses etc. no experience with big programs or big recruiting and no large consistent success recruiting or coaching yet. Let’s put yet in there assuming he maybe a future great coach.

But to get on here and say I transferred because of a coach, come on? Ten bucks say you are a non factor at the school you are currently. Great location and horrible support. Maybe one of the lowest levels of support in D1. Not an easy situation to be in.

If this man gets another job I would be absolutely livid and will let the new program know what they are getting.
DO NOT get drawn in to the few successes he’s had in his career because of any good coach goes to Texas, Texas would be back in the glory days but Herbster did a very poor job.

I was guessing this was Spencer Dodds as well. Makes the most sense since he transferred out and the peak of his career was definitely in High School.

The decisions have been made and accepted. The announcement has been delayed to be timed with other issues going on at campus. Rumor is it has to do with the new track and some high powered donors. Hang tight.
