Interested as to why he didn’t apply for (or maybe just didn’t land) any of the countless quality distance jobs that have been posted this summer.

Had already agreed to go back to Cuse before schools started calling. Wanted to keep his word

guessing it'll go unfilled for the semester, like other throws positions that have been open for a while
unlikely, it is a distance position to replace Drew Ludtke, I believe. XC is well underway and I would guess they want to fill the job.
Don't have any inside info on where they are at, though. Anyone know what happened there? Why is Ludtke not there? Does not appear that he took another job.

Another "flash in the pan" average at best coach bouncing around looking for greener pastures. Why not just put in the time and build a program? Or is that too difficult? Was Cal not challenging enough? Was Under Armour not challenging enough? How about BTC? or maybe she isn't actually that good of a coach...Hmmmm.
Oh yeah, I forgot that it doesn't matter how much running experience you have, it's all about how many coaching jobs you can put on your resume.

This is just silly. She has a great resume. She's had impressive jobs. You can't complain about someone not having enough experience, then talk out of the other side of your mouth too.
Bellevue University is a small NAIA school located outside Omaha, NE. They are a relatively new (4th season) "distance only" program competing in cross country, indoor track and outdoor track. This is a full-time salaried position with full benefit package and competitive salary.

He/she does make a good point. Hasn’t developed any athletes. I don’t understand why that isn’t valued on this site and this thread. I think that is the most impressive tangible of a great coach, bedsides just making the kids happy for title 9. Kids are happy when they’re running faster. Has she done this. Show me some 2-3 minute 5k improvements from her efforts…

If you’re focused on development as a college coach, you’re not going to last long in this profession. That’s in the job description somewhere around “certifications.” Oh. And Travis Floeck to Washington State.
