Andi Palen finished fifth in her FSU debut yesterday in 18:27.5, http://www.seminoles.com/sports/c-xc/recaps/090409aab.html.
News from Plattsburgh (hopefully results will be up soon, but I think that this is fairly accurate):
SLU wins with 27 I believe. Heymann wins in 15:08, Ramsey and Mwenda 2-3 in 15:20s, Yernye 4th in 15:30s high. Plattsburgh puts their third (Grimes) in around 15:50. SLU has 7 guys under 16, including Seth Jackson as their 3rd guy in 15:40ish, and Josh LeBlanc (Junior, didn't run cross last season, had a good track season last year) in low 15:50s. Beaudette and Fox 6-7 in 15:50s as well. Also, sophomore Goodwin and Freshman Rakoc (both SLU) out-kick Sico, all 16:05ish. Sico is Plattsburgh's 4th I believe.
SLU has 7 under 16, 9 under 16:10, 9 ahead of Plattsburgh's 4th.
Plattsburgh has Heymann at 15:08, 3 under 16.
In case anyone was wondering, no Ben Jackson.
News from Buff St?
Monmouth Results (NYU):

NYU looks good, 4 (Lee, Turlip, Fitzhenry, Schwelm) guys in the 19:20s (6k), plus Maher at 19:34. 7 under 20. No challenge from any other team there.
“The guys ran in a controlled pack for the first 5,000 meters and were sitting between fifth and eight place most of the time,” said NYU head coach Nick McDonough. “Then over the final 1,000 meters they ran harder and moved up.”
Anyone know anything about the Monmouth course? Looks pretty fast, but the NYU pack looks great. I'd just like to an idea of how their front pack is compared to where Schneider might have been. Top freshman: Kevin Bonilla, 20:24
Buff State results:

No top Geneseo guys (Corcoran runs 26:32), Fredonia beats Geneseo's B by 1. WIlliams runs 26:53, then next four Fredonia guys are in the 27s. Honestly, Fredonia ran a pretty weak race, and by the looks of their spread they weren't running it as a workout (with the exception of maybe Williams?). Novaro 27:40. The times they put up today make them look like an 8-10 team in the region. Is the Buff St. course slow? Long way to go until November.
Edinboro wins with 22, no contest, with 5 of the top 8 (26:21-27:00).
The Buff St course tends to get marshy being right on the lake (grand island). I don't know if I'd call it slow.
The buff state course is extremely slow course especially when most off it is thick grass and mud. Not to mention the heat and humidity at the time the race was run.
second of all, edinboro's times weren't to hot either and there suppossed to be ranked pretty high in d2.
So obviously the course is slow, if you weren't able to calculate that.
This meet doesn't matter anyways, I bet Edinboro, fredonia, and mount union were all training through the meet. Especailly when fredonia is going to Penn State next weekend.

the course was flooded basically through last week. luckily it was sunny and dry all week helping to dry it out a little. but running through muck and marsh, adding in the heat and humidity with no winds. times are bound to be slow.

the course was not "extremely" slow. there were a few muddy patches, and some soft spots, but for the most part the footing was solid. a little slow i'd say.
the heat was there, but it wasn't unusually warm, it was typical early september weather. mid-70's and average humidity.
all in all a below average race day, a little muddy, a little warm. nothing terrible though.
I thought I remembered the Dan Walker course being pretty fast in the past did they make any big changes or anything?

Something else to think about... I give the Plattsburgh a lot or credit. They raced another tough SLU team and might get slightly overshadowed in that race, but they improved vastly over their performance last year at this race.

11 Saints in before Plattsburgh's 4th. 27 second spread. Race was much faster than last year. Seth Jackson shows he should be a factor in xc this year and a new face in LeBlanc. Good running from Plattsburgh's top 3. Heymann continuing to run very well.
I found out last weekends alumni results weren't as fast as I thought. Just outside 19 for the top guys.
Monmouth course was different from one used in years past, cant compare to NYU's last time there. Course is not fast, has alot of tight, hairpin turns, and is run on pretty think grass. Also has a tight almost single track woods trail about 500-600 meters into the race.
NYU guys looked pretty relaxed till the last K or so when they broke it up a bit to the finish. They seemed to let 2-3 albany guys get 8-10 seconds up on them around 2k, before starting to move up a bit. Fitzhenry gives them a solid 5th.
SLU looks good early, long way till November 13th.
there was a lot of small extensions to the course buff st course. granted nothing huge, but the course was def longer than last years.
