BY THE WAY the ARMY has its own MMA league in which all fighters utilize the hand to hand combat fighting technique we are taught.... Brazilian Jiu jitsu... suck on that one.

a boxer would definitely kick their ass, but not an mma fighter. alot of mma fighters actually take self defense classes taught by combatives instructors (which most are former SF operatives or taught to them) so they can learn practical self defense for street fights. because in a street fight nobody is gonna be grappling around or anything, to win a street fight you have to attack first and usually a punch isn't sufficient to stop someone, a friend of mine took one of the classes like that and he said to attack first with either an upward palm strike to their chin or hitting them with a cupped hand to one of their ears to disorient them, then come back with a hard elbow while they are disoriented and that will usually knock anyone out or give you enough time to run away.

Actually the opposite is true, most mma fighters have the false sense of reality, since they train in jui jitsu and grappling they think they can fight anyone, so in a scuffle they are rowdy and all it takes is a lucky punch from the other guy to knock them out,

how many times have you seen a street fight go to the ground and they grapple?? just doesn't happen its all about strikes,

also i'm not talking about cupping both hands that is stupid, you hit first and cup ONE hand and hit ONE ear which distracts the dude long enough to throw an elbow or kick them in the balls and run.

You're right though with the couture fight, an mma fighter would beat any military guy in a grappling match, but if someone knew how to do a quick knock out combo before the mma fighter had the chance to get set, its lights out.

They don't hug or wallow on the floor like 2 gays with tattoos. They know how the body works and how to stop the body from working.

Roger Huerta, a guy not good enough for the 155 lb. UFC division schooled a guy nearly 100 lbs heavier than him, after the big guy attacked first. Heck, Jon Koppenhaver, who was terrible in the UFC is currently in jail for getting into too many street fights, where he beat the crap out of multiple guys bigger than him.

When it comes to a fight, I'll keep my money on the guy who is training in grappling and striking several hours a day, nearly every day. If you have doubt, please go visit your local MMA gym on sparring night. Heck, travel to Tennessee and I'll let you have one free shot, and then we can place the rest of what happens on YouTube and on this thread.

Most obviously the fact that mossad is an Isreali force, and Isreal happens to be at war with Iran. Anyway....

There's a video on the internet where a marine combat instructor says this: "If you put me in the cage with a UFC fighter, he'd win. If you put him on a battlefield with me, I'd kill him." This should help clarify the UFC vs. Military debate. As for Seal vs. Marine Force Recon, I believe that they are trained with similar systems. I'm not sure what S.O. Marines are taught, but regular Marines learn MCMAP, which is integrated into the Seal combat system along with a lot of other styles.

Why are we Americans so delusional about pro athletes? MOST pro athletes would fail in SF, Ranger or SEAL training. I just can't see Lebron James surviving pre-selection or hell week. I don't even see any MMA fighter surviving SERE.

Army combatives contains only heavily watered down BJJ. Nothing wrong with that - the army can't spend enough time on hand to hand combat to master all its aspects, and soldiers are rarely going to be in one on one unarmed fights.

When I was just starting BJJ I trained with a couple of army guys who were always bragging about army combatives. After a month of BJJ I was dominating them in ground fighting. Keep in mind my background is in running, so it's not like I'm the strongest guy in the world.

I have all the respect in the world for the capabilities of our armed forces, but the military is not training men for one on one unarmed combat.

all of the fat slobs or skinny punks I went to SERE with made it. Its a hard time but its fun hiking in the mountains. PS all navy and marines go to the same SERE.

BJJ is useless in a real street fight, actually knowing it will hurt you because those that know the mma skills think they are hot shit and don't walk away from street fights like they should and end up getting hurt. youtube Paul Vunak (not special forces) he used to teach SEal team six hand to hand fighting that is very practical in a real encounter, none of that B.S. mma stuff that hurts more than it helps in a fight.

Jimminy Christmas. I'd have to say that it depends on the MMA fighter more than it depends on the Recon or SEAL. There are no garbage Recon Marines or SEALs out there, but there are plenty of MMA fighters I've seen who appear ammaeture at best. Even in the UFC, WEC, IFL, whatever.

We've already seen Brian Stann who spent more time training as a Marine than a fighter rise to the tippy top of his weight division in the WEC because he has a killer, warrior mentality. Like I said this thread can not be answered any simple way. It depends on the person. Plenty of Marines go into the Corps with experience in MMA or wrestling or striking. Plenty more Marines learn that trash on leave in addition to their already required MCMAP training.

Recon and SEAL team members take their CQC training even further than Black Belts in MCMAP. UFC fighters fight for sport and competition. Warriors such as Recon Marines and SEALs fight for the life of their buddies and their own. The mentality of both men are a lot different.

I'd say a seasoned Recon Marine or SEAL member fresh from a deployment would kill a seasoned MMA fighter. Don't get me wrong though, they'd be cheap as f*** in the fight.

It's all pretend for stage actors. At least Marines fight to the death. Marine like units in the other branches get credit for emulating Marines to a degree limited by Congress.
