the reason there is no mention of Noack is probably because he wasn't one of Sain't John's top runners last year, but he has been up there for most of the races they have run a full squad. I didn't see his name in the results from La Crosse, but if he is at his best on saturday I could see him being top 20 easily, possibly top 15.
easily is a poorly used word. There are maybe 4 guys who might easily get top 20. not meant to be a personal attack, but ask gleason about what is easy. he was obviously one of the top guys and didnt easily even finish the race. noack, who i have never heard of, probably cant easily do it. now ericksen on the other hand...
judging by the fact that you don't know who noack is, and you spell erichsen's name wrong . . . I'm guessing you have either been living under a rock for the past year, or you are someone from saint john's who is trying way to hard to hide that you are from saint john's.
and by the way, I think I said that Noack would easily make top 20 AT HIS BEST. those are the key three words. Gleason AT HIS BEST would have also easily made top ten or probably 5 last year.
Let's just be friends and settle it all on Saturday afternoon.
I hope all race well on Saturday. Wish I could be there to see the race (or race in it). Weather looks perfect as of now!

I too hope all race well, except for the Tommies, who will suck eternally.
it is funny how so many people bring up the past when it doesn\'t even matter.... in five years no one will even care about saturdays race
but speaking of gleason i would have liked to see him and erichsen go at it in the indoor 5k at nats

Hey f*** you man. Your mother sucks eternally. But at least she's good at it.
go Tommies.
Oh great. Here we go again. Nothing is gained by these kinds of posts.
true, absolutely nothing is gained by these posts, this thread ought to be about running/conference/training/predictions/etc... but be sure to be insightful and realize the original antagonizing post before you crucify the tommies for stirring things up when in reality they just defended themselves. I find it interesting that you didn't say here we go again after the initial a$$hole post but waited until a tommy said something. So unless you are going to be fair, come down from the soapbox.
ha, I stumbled across some of the older MIAC threads (think track '06) back when the Johnny and Tommy JV teams had way too much time on their hands. This one is actually a big improvement. Glad to see y'all have found more tactful ways to insult each other. Good luck to everybody tomorrow; the only thing that's guaranteed to happen at Como is for shit to get crazy.

When I said "these posts," I meant both of them.

you are a turtle in the summer?
Luther beat Wartburg 38-48. A bit of an upset, though it was predicted by a few people. Rankings probably never were accurate because Luther ran nearly every race as a tempo run. I wonder what the course was. I went to h.s. in Dubuque.

anybody have MIAC results? they weren't up on the MIAC website as of 3:30...
It'll be interesting to see if Luther can pull off what they did last year and make it back into the top 10 at Nats. Their coaches (both ex-MIAC) have shown that they can get their teams to run smart and peak at the right time. Their runners seem to have bought into the system big time and could care less about the results prior to conference.
While the IIAC is not particularly strong (understatement?) I'm impressed with Luther's depth, both men and women. Their women's team is pretty young so next year may be their year on the national scene.
The course today was at the Dubuque soccer complex, so there are definitely plenty of flats, but some good hills, too, as the course dives down off the plateau into the woods. I enjoyed running there.
Erichsen dominated, and that is an understatement. Definitely a performance to indicate he will be in contention for the national title. 24:45 for a 50sec? win over teammate fermoyle.
