The idea for this course was cool in concept, but the obstacle sections are pretty weak. It's just a glorified flat course. I feel like mud runs put in more effort. Why is the mud section not re-tilled before the next race? The soft sand is also only like 50m and the water section is a joke. The hill is the only legit obstacle.
There are functionally no hills in the entire state of Florida.

Well yea, I get that the idea was to just customize a flat course, but they could have added on more of those hill platforms or made the obstacle sections longer. It's basically a flat course when you have barely 200m of total obstacles.
Does anyone feel like when athletes are lapped on a 1.24 mile loop they should be pulled off the course? I know the leaders are incredibly quick but do the math on what it takes to lap someone.
I don't want to sounds heartless but this is a World Championship race not a high school level race. It's annoying watching the leaders wade their way through slow runners.
To be fair to Kelati, she went out in ~10th place which is probably around where she wanted to finish. The pace was ridiculous though and she paid the price. World XC always seems to go out too fast.
Yea wtf was that. At some point you gotta quickly decide that pushing for a top spot is just going to destroy you and hurt your team. Terrible racing from her.
Lots of self-hating American distance fans on this board all the time. Just pathetic really, shows how well the Commie brainwashing really works.
Most of them are the usual boiler room, slovenly red diaper grandkids and babies out of Great Neck and Crown Heights and Encino Hills and Brentwood and so on, doing all they can to bad-mouth America every chance they get… goes all the way back to what their great grandparents did in fomenting the revolution in Russia that created the USSR. Of course they have malcontents of all stripes who join in just to feel as if they belong to something, not realizing the core see them as “useful idiots” — and Lenin was correct to call them that back then as it is proper to see them that way now.
I know the type, and you’re right. Generally the parents are feeding the venom to them straight out of the womb. The rest are misfits who don’t fit in anywhere, so it “…must be everyone else,” types. So they naturally “hate” the US but won’t leave.
Regarding the age-cheating, people should look up the story behind the fight against age-cheating in soccer, and how the MRI test saved the day — and revealed literally every African nation (except South Africa) to have teams over-loaded with age-cheats. You can bet the defenders of Kenyan and Epopian age-cheats are aware of this and hate to have it mentioned.

To be fair this is a TEAM race where your ego should be secondary. Horrendous strategy
Lets make this women's race FAR SHORTER than 10k again. Even 8k is too far, 6k is the right distance. Otherwise we'll continue to get this same sort of results where the main pack is 2-3 minutes behind first and never even remotely close to the front. Women simply have far too much variation in what makes the world #1 and world #50. Stop this stupid PC crap where everything has to be the same between the sexes.
