suck it haters! Coach J.S. is dominating this program.
anybody following his workouts on Strava?
Thanks! 🖐 Well , a long time ago now since I manually put down some workouts at Strava. Since Strava became behind a paywall I' ve stopped being there.
Before I got a pensioner the 1st of September last year many, many years have gone by with just sporadic runs now and then after I quit serious training after Boston marathon 1999, my last race.
Now as a pensioner and " all time in the world" I first prepared myself with frequent short hillreps that fast got me back to a decent level of endurance to start more serious Dancan training as I perform now.
As I most truly never will run a marathon again ( think I did around 15 of them and 4 wins and best time 2:22:09 twice ,on the second ( ! ) , in Stockholm marathon) I know I don't have to do very long runs in training to reach my goal sub 20 min at 5 k .The longest runs now will stay at 70-80 min easy steady ( Z3 pace ). If I later on will go for the half I will sometimes put in a specific long run of around 2 hours.
since you said you used to manually put workouts in strava, I have to ask, do you not wear a GPS watch?

You need a paid subscription to Strava to post workouts.

I think Ski Bum meant:
you DONT need a paid sub to Strava to post workouts.
this is true JS. no money needed to post workouts and look at workouts of others.

How do you keep track on your "running cases" ?
They send him pictures of a piece of paper with numbers on it and he believes it. It's exact.

I didn't have a GPS watch then but have one now , so when winter is over here in Sweden I will run outdoors with GPS . 🖐🧙♂️

Thanks , I didn't know that. When I've been there it looked to me you could have one month for free and then automatic had to pay if wanted to stay there more.

O boy, you sure? You recently been following Sirpoc on Strava yes?

I don't have to when it comes to fee paying customers. It's of course in their own interests they give me right info about their training sessions done and other things of interest . If the Dancan magic results will come of course the runners must follow what I give them to do. 🇸🇪🧙♂️🇸🇪

I coach day by day, week by week and so on with daily updates with my runners . I prefer that like the famous Renato Canova to have perfect up to day. ' control ' of the improvement.

So, you are not even sure they actualy do the workout's you gave them?

Well, I'm not sure, but I remember I read a little in the NSM group there . But I'm not on Strava now as I told. I saw to me an intetesting thing in the NSM thread here at LRC Sirpoc started his running four years after his cycling career and then in quite the same shape I'm in now and he did a TT 5 k at 5:35 min/ k with max pulse 177 . Now we have to count with I'm age 66 and he was around 40 ( ?) so it is of course a bit difficult to compare improvement, but we will here see how fast I improve in comparition relatively to age with my effective the Dancan System. So far all over several hundreds of runners at all levels , both men and women, improved fast and some of them in just 2-3 months ran personal bests . 🇸🇪🧙♂️🇸🇪

Little bit strange comment I think? If you hire a coach to coach you paying your money for it you will of course follow what the coach give you to do?It's of course in their own interest to follow? When runners hire me for coaching they are free to quit if or whenever they want. 🇸🇪🧙♂️🇸🇪

I and my runners coached have daily, weekly chat contacts about their training and sometimes other things important in life . I have lived a long life with alot of experience in matters of life so I can give advice in that too. 🧙♂️

Like your famous Kenian runners, they tell you they did the workouts you gave them, but actually were coached by others. But as long as you think its true...
And like Victor send you a message, it means nothing.
Your new Kenian upcoming star... you get my meaning ;-)
Yes, you are following him. So you do know you don't have to pay for Strava.
Smells like a lie hmmm
Well, I have never lied here. I really thought you nowadays had to pay for Strava and I really don't follow him and just follow and sometimes participate with comnents in the NSM thread here at LRC. 🧙♂️

But that is a different game . My coached elite runners during the years never paid me for coaching. And most of them followed what I sent them to do and succeeded in bigger international races . Not coached by other coaches at that time.In some cases I coached Kenyan elites only 2,5 - 3 months before they won big international halfs and marathons and/ or ran personal records. 🧙♂️
