I’ll be center court for the US Open - happy to treat you two to tickets and teach you a bit about this beautiful game.
That’s fantastic! I’m glad my educating you on the game this week has prompted you to take the step of attending matches.
The US Open is a great event. I prefer Roland-Garros myself. The spectators at the Open can be quite “American” and as not as well-educated on tennis as Europeans. You’ll likely fit right in with your tank top and US flag shorts.
Before you go, let me know if you would like any further education on the game. I’m always open to helping out new fans.
One word of advice to start. If you mention “center court” as you did in your post, you may get some sideways looks. In tennis “Centre Court” is at the All England Club which hosts Wimbledon. The main court at the US open is Arthur Ashe Stadium. So if you tell someone you’ll be at “center court” at the US Open (even if you mean “the center of the court”), they’ll likely tell you you’re at the wrong venue.
It’s common shorthand for those of us on the circuit. For dilettantes who “follow” tennis from ESPN box scores and a few matches on TV, they may stumble over themselves to correct us. Pay them no mind.
Anyway. Perhaps chokervic can break his losing streak soon. Two wins in two years. The GOAT? If you insist, lol.
It’s funny you guys need to repeatedly put words in my mouth because you can’t argue against my actual point. Fairly standard antivaxxer boring tactics.
The GOAT makes everyone look one-dimensional. That’s why he’s the GOAT. lol
We’ve agreed a GOAT needs no defense. Yet here you are, leaping at any chance to defend him. Telling.

You confuse “defending” with “reminding.” lol
Why would a GOAT need reminders? They’re the GOAT. It’s the same as defending. They should speak for themselves but they don’t. They need you to write 50+ posts with complex explanations.
That’s not what a GOAT looks like. A GOAT doesn’t need reminders. nobody forgets the GOAT

But it’s not.
I’m excited for you to see live tennis for the first time. And I can’t help to be a bit proud that I had such an influence on your new adventure. It just shows you what education can do.
Are you going just to see Djokovic?
Another point of clarification. We refer to what you are calling “wins” as “titles.” Rather than saying “two wins in two years,” the correct phrase is “two titles in two years.” A player may have several match wins, but those wins are not the same as titles . I know things like this are confusing for new fans, but keep asking questions. That’s how you’ll learn.

Those explanations may seem complex to you, but are quite simple. That’s what makes him the clear-cut GOAT. It’s easy to see. It’s like someone may need to explain to me who is the GOAT cricketer. I don’t follow cricket, similar to how you don’t follow tennis, and it’s okay for someone to remind me who the GOAT cricketer is.
Don’t take your ignorance of tennis personally. I don’t get offended about not knowing cricket.
Also justify the name chockervic when he failed to choke in his most high profile tournament in several years.
The dude has one two tourneys in two years. Massive choking for someone who claims to be the GOAT. QED
The most high pressure situation he’s faced in the last two years he came through with a masterclass. That is the definition of clutch, not a choker. Also STILL waiting on that link for his alleged covid infection that is the bedrock to your argument.

People remind others daily about Michael Jordan. I mean, really, that’s your argument now? Thatsomeone reminding an obtuse idiot they are in fact being an obtuse idiot takes away someones accolades? Jesus your inability to argue is piling up these days.

Who wouldn’t want to be reminded daily of Djokovic’s brilliance.

Well Jordan isn’t the GOAT. So checks out.
Thanks for proving my point

I'm a much bigger fan of Federer. He's just way more charismatic and likeable and his play has much more style and elegance and breadth and intelligence and was always enjoyable to watch.
It seems in your quest for you to declare yourself the winner, you have lost the point.
Djokovic exercised his medical autonomy and he chose not to vaccinate, and this delayed his reaching some of these new milestones by years. (This pause in play also likely prolonged his career by the same couple years, as his body recovered from constant tournaments.) No one forced him to vaccinate, but society also has the right to decide who is a risk to society, and Djokovic was considered a walking health risk to the other players, tennis staff, journalists, photographers, and the general public, due to his own choices. He knew the rules and the consequences of his actions.
I don't know what this thread is about. Djokovic was never banned. Everyone made their choices and got what they wanted.

The professionals of that sport say otherwise. Thanks for volunteering that you are indeed the obtuse idiot.

When he got spanked by Sinner a few weeks ago?
You think his match two weeks ago was the most anticipated and singularly focused match of his last two years? You are lost in the wilderness dude. And please please please get that link up. Still waiting to see the cornerstone of your entire argument.
You just can't work in the medical profession if you're not willing to administer safe and effective vaccines, which have been the single most effective public health measure in history, with the exception of clean water and public garbage collection.

Do you agree with harmbes assertion that the biggest factor in Novak’s level of play is the allegations he’s suffering from long covid?
The fact that he thought it was astute is frigging hilarious though.

I’ve decided that I’ll take you up on those tickets. I want to be there to show you the ropes for your first time. I feel a duty to mentor you since I’m responsible for this new adventure of yours.
