Any bets on the last 400m split? (if we even get to hear it...) would love to see a cracking 52
At this pace they better be sub 50
Why is Hagos running like an idiot? When it's this slow. YOu don't want to be in last?
If I was him, I'd just follow Fisher around.

A jog fest is probably not what organisers were hoping for.
I don't know whether they would have hoped for it, but you'd absolutely have to expect something like this. It's a very lucrative game of running chicken (or poker).
They don’t want to trash their legs and run sub 13 pace. This is a tempo run with a fast last 400m lol.

Yeah maybe pacers in distance races aren't so bad after all.

So fighser gets to run two 3ks?
First lap 70. Next lap they didn't show it up it was slower. I'd guess around 257 at 1k.
The fact that we don't get splits on the screen or the website is amateur hour.
They show the splits periodically but honestly this gets to another big problem with this league. The focus on “rivalries” and “non-paced races” simply isn’t exciting for the average track fan for these distance races. Ask a bunch of people and they care a lot more that Jakob ran 7:54 for two miles, or 7:17.55 rather than a sit and kick race. Distance running and sprints on the track are fundamentally different. I could see this focus working for sprint events but never for anything above 800m. Fast times with pacers and wavelights matter, having half of your meet with sit and kick 1500s, 3000, and 5000m races just will not work for this league.

What’s with the terrible drone quality?
Looks like they’re using a $150 drone or something
The US is trying to ban Chinese (DJI) drones, so we get this crap instead.
Winning!

I'm starting to think commercials during distance races aren't so bad after all

Races longer than 3000m need pacers.
Would a 1500 / 3000 group have been better? Hmm I think so
but they want to keep having the distance events at these meets, why would meet organizers continue to have them if they are just going to jog? people watching don't understand the strategy or anything they just see people jogging... for 13 minutes... stupid
SuperTri attempting to compete with World Triathlon in triathlon tried this stuff there too. It doesn't work and the athletes clearly hate it and purposely give crap answers. Same here.
Think GST will learn a lot over time with this stuff, hopefully.

Will they break 14:00?
Nope
I mean...does Teare have a shot?

Seriously ALMAZ AYANA would get tired of the mens pace and inject a push for home...she wouldn't win but that's how ridiculously slow the men are running after 4 laps into the race. That a women could be in the pack and take the lead to push the pace 😳

Are they seriously at 15:05 pace?
Nikki could have kept up
runners should take the money while Grand Slam track lasts. Look forward to Diamond League.
Do the women get a bonus if their 5000m winning time on Sunday is faster than the men's winning time tonight?
