I don’t believe it was a jealous remark. Cornfield killed her with too many races indoors and is now repeating it. I’m a fan of Elise, but she seemed shot tonight.
unlike the mens race, Cranny was pretty much on her own with Keladi having no interest in doing any of the hard work. look at the splits, as Cranny slowed Keladi slowed with her and stayed right behind her.
meanwhile in the mens race there were 8 guys up front, constantly trading off the lead. if someone got tired they fell to the back of the group and slowed their pace until they recovered.
i think Crannys fitness was fine (her sprint attesting to that) its just so difficult doing these 10K's solo.
I agree but shouldn’t say the men “constantly” traded off. They used Blanks for a good long time before anyone else stepped up (and that only when the pace slowed). Still, they did step up when it mattered most!
Yeah, I was off but not by much. I almost adjusted it to sub-26:55, which also would’ve been wrong for Blanks at least, but, man, we just needed slightly faster pacing and for longer. Habtom was right there.
sub 26:50 was there for Bekele. And maybe 1 or two others could have dropped another 5 seconds in tow.
If you watch the replay you'll see the start was delayed, most of the runners went out for strides, and they started the race before Bekele and, I believe, Drew Hunter were back. Bekele was the most impacted and started 95 to 100m behind everyone else (thus his first lap 73). His actually 10,000m time, if chipped like in road races, was ~26:38. Tough break
Question is how is that suspected doper Kieran Tuntivate be running 27:36 for 10k after moving down in distance precisely because he couldn't handle the 10k in 2021 anymore??????????
I call BS on this dirty runner folks, I'm serious alright!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He definitely doped to the gills as always.......

Agreed! But don't call him Bekele as this is disrespectful to the distance GOAT kenenisa bekele you feelin me. Call him Telahun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't call him Haile either as it's disrespectful to the other distance angel Haile Gebrselassie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hence Telahun was really the winner of the race in 26:38 but still much slower than Kejelcha, Aregawi and Barega ain't it?????????????? The winner Ishmael Kipkirui is way too fat and plumb to be a distance goat. He may be an U20 XC champion but today's champions are nothing like the champions of the 1990s and 2000s. Today's champions are sissy-minded, irradiated, feeble and quickly infirmed after a while!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Our sport is ruined damn it folks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We need to fix the anthropogenic environment first to save this sport!!!!!!!

I was a little surprised Graham didn’t have a bit more. Granted, he led a fair chunk. It does make me wonder about NCAA Cross if Habtom hadn’t fallen. Still money on Graham in a 5,000, but perhaps 10,000 and up Samuel is better.
Is this a joke? blanks pulled all of those guys the basically entire way. Of course those guys were going to have more on the last lap after sitting on him all night. After rewatching, at multiple times during the race he is asking for someone to take the lead and no one took over until he had to slow it down. I think he did what he had to do as he was there to go sub 27 period but damn.
Jane Hedengren ran 3200M in 9:37.50 at Simplot Games at 4600ft elevation. Do the sea level equivalent conversion. Hedengren’s “sea level conversion equivalent” time is 9:20. Hedengren is the GOAT of HS girls. Hedengren has surpassed Sadie Engelharst, Allie Zealand, Katelyn Touhy, Mary Cain, et al.
