He did prepare properly. From a solid base he worked up to multiple 100+ mile weeks back to back to back, including track 100 milers. The realistic goal fair enough, but he's not that far off really and at the end of the day, there is a showbiz element plus, this will help the charity more. From someone who's done a run charity that dwarfs this is terms of distance, I wish I'd have had the balls to go big with my predictions, especially as I hit my goal, but I didn't and the charity side didn't fly anywhere near to Nedd's levels. Does that make me jealous? No. I'm a bit sad that that's the way the world works, but hey, it is what it is. Would I go big if I did something else? Maybe it's my duty to, but I'll need bigger balls and thicker skin.
