I will give it to Hassan. She ran 3 FM in last 2 years and still has speed to get Bronze in 5000m. She definitely can medal in both 10000m and marathon.

If Hassan manages a medal in all three events, it will be amazing. If she medals on the track and gets gold in the marathon it will be epic. After watching Hengelo most people counted her out for any medals.

Yeah that’s crazy she looked completely washed a few weeks ago, getting completely destroyed by also rans in a 1500m, and now she’s getting silver/bronze in the strongest 5000m field ever. I didn’t even think she would medal at the olympics.
Kipyegon probably got the DQ for grabbing onto Tsegay;'s arm, even though Tsegay is partially at fault too for trying to cut in on her. Both or neither should be DQ
Hassan should thank herself as well...she knows how to race and stay out of trouble, where so many other runners don't. One of the best (and most idiosyncratic) in race tactics.
